It's not that bad. Few deployments, several work ups. Only reason it is bad now is because i havent been in the states for more than 30 days in over 3 years. Now I get to spend just as much time in the states!!
Maybe I will finally find a decent girl to date, some one who wont wait till i am at sea to cheat on me behind my back thinking i wont find out.......

I can understand breaking up because of it, because it can be hard on both of them, especially if the relationship wasn't going so well before, but to cheat on someone because of that is just...
well I guess you would have to be the type of person who would of cheated on your partner anyways regardless of the situation.

Nor do i. I have had at several relationships break up because either she couldnt deal with me being at work all the time (i'm an engineer and during certain times, in port or not, i am on the ship for days at a time)or i go out to sea for a week or two or more and get cheated on.
Sometimes dont think relationships are worth it ya know

Depends on the branch of service. Colonel is everything except Navy and coast guard. It is a officer rank of O-6.
Captain in the air force, army, Marines is a rank of O-3 but Captain in the Navy is a rank of O-6

Enlisted ranks are uhhh... there are way more titles. Goes from E-1 to E-9. I could list Navy's for you, if you'd like.
Okay, that just makes things more confusing, but I will say this: I respect the hell out of anyone who has been in the military. All three of my brothers have been in one branch at one time or another, but the acronyms and the terminology... I just can't fathom how you guys remember all that and function off of it with ease. I still struggle with the difference between an SEI and an ELL.
