the <Ramuh> can just mean they are in the menu to select character, which is where we are all stuck. amazed you guys dont know this. most people are sitting idle in menu spamming character selection to get on fastest. the ones who dont have <Ramuh> are on pol, and havent selected a server yet (in case you have a different character on a different server). ramuh is definitely still down for myself and everyone on my flist.

If that's true what comes up with people who have characters on multiple servers? You don't really chose servers you chose characters that happen to be on servers

same thing, you are choosing which server to enter based on character. i just cut out the middle man.

I timed out about 2-3 weeks back and lost all of my temps. If it happens to some and not to others, perhaps it's a bug?
Always happens to me too.

yep. youve never seen a friend logging in and on flist says <Ramuh> or <Bahamut> but they arent actually on the game yet? ive seen it countless times. (doesnt say actual character name yet). i didnt design the lobby to log in, i just know what ive seen.

Yep if they were afk and are still technically "in game" with a server error message from being disconnected, the game has not actually shut down for them until they confirm the message.

heres another example. (keep in mind im not saying this is consistant). atm, i cant log in, i can only get to character loading and it gives error 3305 or w/e. when i go back to POL flist, it shows some friends with "XI" icon (ffxi obviously), and some with "O" icon (POL), yet NONE of them are in game, only in game menus at start. so it gives the impression they are playing, but they arent.
all im saying is the status on flist doesnt always mean what it looks like. possibly if a person has ALL characters on 1 server, in the character selection screen it displays that server on other peoples friend lists (talking out my *** to conclude something consistant with what we see). otherwise like sagi said, people may be afk during the error and not hitting "ok" to confirm or whatever.
