Winter is coming: "A Game of Thrones" HBO Series
It's almost the same. Night watch serves for life so that's why he gives up claims to titles and land.
A king can free a man of his vows, so that was Robb's plan, just had to find a deal with the commander of the Night's Watch.

Was anyone else pissed off about S03E09?

Well at least we know he does assist in writing some of the scrips and is pretty close with the producers. We can only hope that they do make the TV series what the books will be when they come to that point. I think I have to get shitfaced tonight to mourn some starks.
I might be too invested in this stupid show. They can go on for 4 seasons before needing material from Winds of Winter.

I kinda expected this to happen but I wasn't prepared at all. Cat will be missed.. one of the best characters imo. Robb's "Mother.." right before he died brought on the feels.
The 10 second thing before Cat was killed was probably for dramatic effect. My mom said "I didn't see that coming!" so it obv worked for her. xD But it was obvious to me what was going to happen. Oh something that viewers of the show may have not understood: you see when they arrive at the Twins they all eat bread and salt, that's a Westeros tradition called law of hospitality, which means once you share bread and salt with the host no harm can be made to you. So that was supposed to show the amount of dickery of the Freys for making them believe they were safe and then infringing a sacred law.

Well, Robb already broke one vow to them.. I guess they didn't care at that point.
I wonder what's going to happen to his Uncle? Unless they dragged him off to kill him and just disguised it as the bedding ceremony. Ragnarok.Forsakengriever

Oh! That's another thing. Blackfish was at that wedding. :/ I guess that means,
That's a spoiler Forsaken, you should use tags...

Also, we didn't get to see Greywind freaking out as they came to the twins. Greywind actually attacked one of the Frey guys, it was all suspicious stuff leading up to that moment, but still...And in the books Greywind took down like 10 people before they were able to kill him, and it took more than a few crossbows.
Maybe they didn't have enough resources/time to make Greywind wreak havoc. Made me sad too.

I know. I know it's doubtful I suppose...But how are they going to end the season climatically? lol I was sort of hoping they'd try to squeeze it in there.
That's obviously for the next season...last episode will be about SPOILER BELOW

OH another thing that's pissed me off about the show is that it seems they have cut out completely. Anyone else notice that? -.-
I edited my post above, I believe that's one of the cliffhangers of the season finale.
edit: maybe we shouldn't continue here though, it may get annoying for people that watch the show only even using spoilers. Few days old but its fun news: http://winteriscoming.net/2013/05/grrm-confirms-red-viper-mace-magnar-being-cast/
My favorite character finally makes his debut in season 4, the Red Viper! Well the Red Viper obviously had to be in the cast! More surprised at the Thenn since they didn't put him in earlier, and more importantly Mace...they *** up the lineage of the Tyrells in this season, so how is he gonna fit in?
Well he is the Tyrell patriarch, so they will have to make room for him. All of these characters debuted before the Red Wedding, but I understand why they pushed them to season 4, there is a lot of fluff right now that needs to killed off to make room, woohoo more dying!
