Rapidus? Kila? Triplus? Angr Harpe? capped gear haste triplus. uncapped rapidus.
Need evasion kila. Also well augmented yatas are up there too I'd never use twilight, there are better daggers out there.
And it pretty situational as to what to off-hand or even main hand nowa days. most of the time now it'd be eva kila STR Kila is monstrous. Triplus is decent though came out below in recent calculations, assuming you can use the Attack in some small capacity (not hard).
Rapidus is poor even if using the 1% Haste. Was meh at 85, is pretty trashy now. Phoenix.Kirana

Twilight/triplus
Kila/triplus Kila/Twilight All are decent combinations, but depends on situation. Angr harpe and Yata are mostly garbage because of the high delay (Perfectly augmented yata may be better than Kila however). I don't understand why people bash the triplus at all, the high DPS and triple attack +3% alone make it an amazing dagger, despite the fact that the TA damage boost is minimal. Assuming you have AF3+2 available to you, you are best off maximizing your triple attack rate. You can easily hit ~35% TA in abyssea with only atma of Apoc. Just curious cause I see people say a lot that capping fSTR in abyssea is done easily with just atma/cruor buffs so it's better to stack the WS mod. Although the DEX mod on Evis is only 30%. I guess maybe the 22? attack is better over time than the 9 DEX is for just Evis? Ya, pretty much. DEX Kila beats all (nonrelic? Even then maybe...) daggers if for whatever reason the accuracy can be fully utilised effectively - however, this is rare.
Hater's gon hate on X's knife, still a 10% boost to crit hit dmg. I use Fusetto +2 and x's normally and *** around with other ***. Works fine.
thief's knife! atleast until you proc TH ofcourse :D

Well I'm open to suggestion, but I do notice quite a bit of different in ws dmg with x's and other off hands knives. I'm not about to parse it but the bonus you get from other offhand knives aside from triplus don't seem all too great to me. is 9 dex going to equal the ws dmg from 10% crit dmg? honestly i don't see 5-6 dmg difference in an offhand dagger making too much difference with melee swings, if there's evidence to the contrary that'd be cool. Just haven't seen much of anything with x's in it since most people don't have it.
Yesterday spent 110k dominion points for a Yhatagan with Dmg +4/Crit Dmg+6%, tried getting one of these for main hand? Cheap alternative
Angr/Triplus. Just got dmg+8 crit dmg+6 yatagan so will use that now. imo twilight is crap for thf.
Quote: I guess maybe the 22 attack is better over time than the 9 DEX is for just Evis? Correct. While the 9 dex doesn't JUST affect evisceration (it also affects sneak attack), the fact remains that 22 attack >>> 9 dex. The meat of the kila's is the accuracy/attack/eva w/e, and if accuracy is capped 22 attack is a much better increase than 9 dex. My favorite combo, Twilight/Trip is a wonderful combo. I'd go for that if you can. Especially with 5/5 THF+2 :Q |
