Rift - So, Who Is Going To Get This?

Oh trust me been waiting ages...just GW2 is taking agesssssssssss.

I have played Rift since beta 5 and I really love this game.

(If you play dancer mainly on FFXI, you'll love Bard/Riftstalker/BladeDancer with the focus being in Bard and then putting other points in RS and have BD just for side steps(your oh ***ability))

This game just really takes the "waiting" out of many MMOs. You are never ever ever ever standing thinking, "What to do... what to do..." because quite frankly if you stand around too long, an invasion will slap you up side the head lol.

Seriously this game is awesome. The dungeon bosses are sooo HARD but SO FUN!

True Story: We were doing the final boss in the dungeon in Scarlet Gorge. It took our 5 man group respec ourselves 10 times before we got down to defeating the final boss. You can't just blindly go into fights and win(looking at you WoW). You actually have to coordinate with your party members and pay attention. God, it got my blood pumping.

only draw back though is the character customization leaves you wanting more...

was anyone on last night in gnarlwood for that crazy assault on quicksilver college? the entire court area was filled with mobs, took like an hour to clean up.

I personally haven't had any issues with lag.

i only lag in full rift groups, but my comp also barely handles the game

i love the char creator btw, its nice. btw, whats your faction/char name prothescar?

have characters on both sides, trying out everything and feeling things out. Isador, Prothescar and Bellana are my main 3.

i have 2 other chars, one on defiant, but im mainly focusing on my rogue, trying to get as high as i can

forgot to put in my post before, i respecced and now using riftstalker as my main soul, i love its defensive capabilities, its great for soloing. im only really using nightblade for the first 6 root abilities, and im using blade dancer to balance offense

I only had the one on the bottom, and just used the hotkeys of Shift 1-5 to use my others.

Aelfwar invasions suck balls. I've never seen a successful crusade. :\ Defiant side won every time though. Imbalance is gonna suck if they don't implement countermeasures.

omg the one we had earlier was crazy, we had 2 rifts spawn in argent and one in sanctum, and then i was running through treants grove and there were 5 right beside each other, lvl 18-20.

also,

im at lvl 17 now, i finally got my second role, i went bard/ranger/saboteur, im down to 8 silver now after buying and upgrading as much as i could ; ;

i've been leaning toward tanking RS/BD/NB, its really cool except when i have like 5 on me..

also i got the planar axe, its sexy =3

Another great example of their customer support. The bit about Void Knight, mainly: a patch a day or two ago caused the Void Knight to become TOTALLY *** rapeface. It was seriously broken. Glad to see thta they issued a hotfix quickly instead of letting it wait.

Ugh, I'm trying really really hard to like this game, but it's really way too much like wow. :/ and a lot of the bosses look exactly the same and not cool at all ; ; I do have to say though, mage is a hell of a lot cooler in rift then WoW

Edit: Also, which server are you guys on and side? Getting tired of playing by myself >_>

One of the bosses is a giant Big-O Tree. It doesn't get much cooler than that.

Meh, the major invasion bosses are all cool looking to me. Dungeon bosses are hit or miss, but we can't access ANY of the dungeons that matter in beta, so I'm reserving judgment on that.

I'm still trying hard to give this game an honest chance since I'm still low but ughhh
