hyperthyroidism is treatable....usually with surgery to remove the out-of-control gland and meds to replace the thyroid hormones your body needs...
I was told in Nov to lose weight or face diabetes. So i went to a medically monitored program, changed my whole diet, added exercise, and basically my way of looking at food. I have lost 35 lbs....have 15 more to go, but it is a daily challenge. What keeps me going is the fact that i don't want diabetes and all the problems that go with it. Although the diet plan I follow has more options than most it is difficult to eat the same foods at the same time every day. (will choke the next person who tells me turkey is a good meat for diets)
Ppl crave certain foods for a reason, the body is demanding you provide certain nutrients. This is one seriously crazy battle if you have issues with depression because you will crave sweets to get the endorphin buzz you need to relieve the depression. Unless you have been in a struggle of willpower over cravings you have no idea how tough it can be. Ppl have to realize there ARE medical conditions out there that make it impossible to lose weight. The Dr's don't usually find them until the patient is so grossly over weight that their life is threatened.
My hats off to this couple, the program they are in is not easy physically or mentally. HOpe they get the wedding.
