My biggest pet peeve is people with 99,999,999,999 Items in their bazaar... especially crap that is signed. No one cares that some person made you a shitty level 1 ring and signed it... Go die in a fire.
Also, people that use the excuse, "So I don't drop it accidentally" leave that crap in your MH, if it's full then you need to make room, if you can't, make some storage, if you can't or it's inconvienant for you, make a mule, if you can't, kill yourself. It wastes my time looking through bazaars to find 99,999,999,999 items. The only reason an item should cost that much is if you don't know a good price for it and want to put a message asking for people to /tell

People that "accidentally" throw their smart grenades, need to shut up. Just make the macro ahead of time with /equip range xxxx and you won't ever have to worry.

EDIT: or you could just not use a range macro when you know you are going to have it equipped or eliminate them from your macro bar entirely for the job that'll have it equipped...

Wayyy too many ways to prevent throwing it... and the reasons that you would throw them... very weak...

Here is something that bothers me but I keep forgetting to post every time this thread pops up.

When you are putting together a party and you ask someone to gather together in whitegate and they say OK! Five minutes later you see them in Tahrongi, then Buburimu then Mhara... Honestly folks, if its going to take you 30-45 minutes to gather together, SAY SOMETHING.

How long has Aht Urghan been out? If you can't/won't/"don't have the" warp to there it should be your responsibility to say so or at the very least say you'll meet where the party where they will be experiencing at. The days of waiting for people on airships/ferrys have long past. Get your outposts, get your warps, whatever.

Going 0/31 on the PCC BCNM w/out so much as a NI, finally got ni the other day, i have still NEVER seen a peacock charm, dead serious, so if you multiply my runs by 3 to see the total number i have witnessed, thats 0/93

Also when people commit to something and then ditch it either before it starts or half way through...its like...really? well ***what do we do now lol

I'm 0/3 on the KC BCNM... wtf?
Why can't I go 1/1 on this?
hehe
Just teasing!

Honestly, the chances are just that. Chances.
People whine, cry and mope when they play the lottery for years and never win. It's 1 in 35 million to win, but they are still sad.

When it comes to FFXI and the KC BCNM, you have less than 1% chance to get the drop.
Less than 1%.
Seriously, if you want to take a chance, remember it's just a chance.
Walk away happy because you played and had fun, not because you didn't get the drop.
Same goes to everyone that cries over the drop rates.

Think about gambling.
You have a 1 in 3 million chance at winning a slot's jackpot.
So, you put money in an pull the arm.
Unfortunately, you don't win.
You keep doing this, a thousand times.
You still don't win.
Every single time you put your money in, you took that chance.
If your chance wasn't successful, try again or walk away.
Just be happy you had the chance to play. After all, it is a game.

The thing that grinds my gears most is when I help people out by tossing them something simple as a Cure, and get a ((Thank You)) in tell >_<
That why I quickly set myself on /away before, or while, casting a little helpfull spell.

We got /say for a reason.

Tbh I don't see the problem here. They're still being polite, they're just using /t instead of /say. I use /say out of convenience, but still ~( ' . ' )~
What grinds my gears? Was lfp the other night and a guy sends me a /tell {Party}? No further information, no location, not what lvl we're syncing to, nothing. I ask what the level sync is and where, he just sends the same tell. I'm using autotranslate btw. Rephrase my question and ask again. Same tell. I ask again in plain english... yep, {Party}? So I give up and say no, because at this point I suspect it's a rmt. Finally he speaks! "btw i'm a brd and we have pl, you should have accepted" I know you're a brd, I know what level you are and what zone you're in because I know how to use /sea. But please, it's a simple courtesy and for all I know you were organizing a dunes pt and just happened to be in Jeuno. Maybe this isn't the norm, but normally I'll either get the info in the first tell or they'll tell me when I ask.

ok first its the PCC bcnm not the KC, its supposedly a 9 percent drop rate on wiki, which with some simple math is 9 times more likely to drop than the KC, and I understand its a chance? but not seeing it once after 93 attempts is kind of garbage

Garbage? Maybe.
It's a 50% chance to get "tails" on a coin flip, right?
If you flip a coin a hundred times and every time, it came up heads...
What are the chances that the 101st time, it will be tails?
It is still 50%.
It may be upsetting, it may "grind your gears", but regardless of how many times you go into the BCNM, you still have that 9% chance.

Unfortunately, you don't seem to have the luck to make the 9%, to which I am very sorry to hear about.

Hmm~

- LFP yet AFK people... this is my biggest pet peeve. I can understand going LFP, then walking away for a few minutes, use the bathroom, grab a drink or something, but when you go AFK to the point where you never see that anyone was ever asking if you wanted to party, then you suck! Or when you ask someone LFP to rep you, and you get a response like 20 minutes later (after your party disbanded cause no one could rep you anyway) saying something like "Oh, do you still need me?" >.>;

- People who think that lower level SMN should main heal, and NOT summon at all. I leveled summoner knowing how to main heal and summon at the same time, thankfully, but even still, I got idiots telling me [summoning magic] [no thanks.] even though everyone's hp was fine, my mp was fine, and I had plenty of room to try and buff with earthen ward or something, or do the occasional eclipse bite with Fenrir. Jeez, if you wanted someone who would heal ONLY and not play their job even a little, then go get a whm!!

- People who clutter up the log in Whitegate with shouts about stuff they're selling. Use the AH like everyone else, people!! I'll check and see if what they've got can be sold on AH first, and then I shout back at them with [Auction House] [Do you need it?]

why does this bother you? some things sell better off the AH ( or some things cant be sold on AH like ABC). i mean if they were spamming yeah that'd piss me off, but one shout per 2 expanded pages is usually what i do.

what bothers me more is people that spam for teleports and do it then someone else shouts something and they feel the need to shout again. like so:

random player 1: teleport can i have it?
random player 2: assault lebros do you need it @4
random player 1: teleport can i have it?
random player 3: ABC 7000g do you need it?
random player 1: teleport can i have it?
random player 4: ZOMG I NEDZ A PL I CAN PAYYYYY!
random player 1: teleport can i have it?
random player 5: retrace can i have it?
random player 1: TELEPORT CAN I HAVE IT??

A majority of vending machines, parking meters, and other mechanical devices that take coins can't tell a difference. In fact I use old arcade tokens to pay for the vaccum machine to clean out the car at my local gas station. It works >.>

Had an irritating incident with that myself when making the 6 food items you need for that one Adventuring Fellow quest (don't remember the name of the quest) but yeah, needed Buffalo Steak, went farming for like an HOUR to get the damn Buffalo meat, go to make the steak and freaking HQ it (I was only like 10 levels above the synth for God's sake), which of course the NPC won't take, listed on the AH and it kicked back, oh I don't know, like 5 times? Then factor in having to go all the way back out to Uleguerand to farm another one for an hour... >.<

Seriously, NPC's should take HQ versions for some things. Doesn't make any sense that they don't..."Sorry, that item is just too good!" lolwut?

Jobs that are expected to be able to pull:

WAR, RDM, THF, PLD, DRK, BRD, RNG, SAM, NIN, COR, DNC

If your party doesn't have any of those, something must be really wrong.

Huh. If you invite any of these jobs expecting them to be ready to pull then you fail as PT lead. Not saying they can't, since any job can, but def would want to talk to them before hand. Even War, Drk, Sam should be notified ahead of time as well imo.

^QFT. If you're not inviting a "typical" puller, the PT leader needs to ask the potential invite if they are okay with doing it BEFORE THEY INVITE AND JUST THRUST IT ON THEM. I know, a lot of people think that if a job has the capability to pull they should be prepared to do so, but a lot of irritation would be prevented by just asking before the invite. Just because I CAN pull doesn't mean I want to, or that you would want me to (I suck at pulling lol). Not confirming beforehand is poor leadership.

As DNC, I used to get this from time to time, people think just because I have a returning weapon and don't need to rest I should be puller, even over THF or RNG because OMG THEY HAVE TO BUY AMMO. Of course, that didn't stop them from bitching when I'm too slow, or I get links, or whatever. Whole lotta heartache coulda been prevented by asking me first, so I could say {fishing}{No thanks} and not waste all of our time.
