I've personally had a real RRoD but...my first 360 started crashing everytime I turned it on. And then the replacement they sent me made a super loud annoying grind noise. I guess it was the lens, because it stopped reading disks in a few months. Had an elite now for a year and *knocks on wood* it has only RRoD once, but it was dust clogging my power supply. ^^: It's why I always say check the power box first!

Yeah...it destroyed a FFXI disk of mine, and scratched the ***out my my CoD4. ;_;

there were also a lot of issues at the beginning..more so than now...i'm on #7 when it gets here

But sadly, number 4 didn't even work when I got it. XD

I bought an xbox 360s that had the RROD for 150. It was sold to me under false pretense, which sucks. But I was able to reverse the RROD by replacing the x-clamps with washers and bolts. Apparently the x-clamps (they hold the heatsinks in place) cause warping tension which w/ enough heat and time, and then cause the circuits of the GPU and/or CPU become disconnected from the MB. I still prefer playing FFXI on computer though. I've never been a loving fan of M$. More of a disappointed one.

They have been about the same.
I have a launch day 360 and have had to send it in twice to be repaired. Which isn't too bad to me, considering the amount of time it stays on due to ffxi.
Glad I use the comp little complaints despite rough treament in shipping across the country and almost continuous use for 6 years... still need to make the new one run ffxi though /sigh

The trick to Besieged on 360 is go in when it's been on for at least 20 minutes. You'll never crash, but miss out on the good items like Dusty Wing and the one that boosts every stat...and Monarch. ; ;

And fishing for moat crap is probably as bad cause really even with low skill you can make money faster then the cost of the carp even if you had a 100% biterate on carp... lamesauce!!! On a side note someone buy my 2 for 3 mil each please
