Map icons mined from the 1.8 Skyrim update, supposedly related to the upcoming "Dragonborn" DLC. Raven Rock, Miraak Temple, Castle Karstaag and Telvanni Tower markers, as well as fast travel markers for going to/from Solstheim. Taken from official Bethesda forums.

Quote:
Next DLC will be called Dragonborn. It is set in Solstheim. Main locations are Raven Rock, Miraak Temple, Castle Karstaag and Telvanni Tower. You will might be able to ride dragons. Also, new armor types, possibly horse (?) Bomemold, Chitin, Nordic and Stalhrim.

All this nostalgia will flood back when I go back into Solstheim. The memories of Bloodmoon, hngh.

I do hope the 'werewolves' are not quite the same as back in Morrowind, I did not approve of those at all. At least that blasted ring, filthy!

Curious to see how that would work. They probably wouldn't be allowed to fly higher than any zone cities since it would look pretty ugly. lol

Perhaps a baby dragon that cant fly? just runs? xD

You do already ride a dragon in one part of the game if I remember right. They will probably put in zone restrictions like the borders of Skyrim.

I was sort of hoping that it wasn't free-riding like a mount and was just a new form of fast travel

The saved game data is in a different folder. The skyrim stuff you wanna delete is located in "Game Data Utility".

Possible Skyrim Expansion Files Found in 1.8 — October 16, 2012

In what is becoming a bit of trend when it comes to Skyrim expansions, files found in the recent 1.8 patch allude to a possible expansion to the latest installment of the Elder Scrolls franchise. In a thread posted in the Bethesda Softworks Forums, a user reports that files found in the beta update suggest the new expansion will be called "Dragonborn", will involve the player traveling to Solstheim (the location of the previous expansion Bloodmoon for Morrowind), and will include certain new content like dragon mounts, new armor, magic usable on mounts, and new creatures. While it has not been confirmed as of now, a trademark on the name Dragonborn for ZeniMax Media Inc. issued on September 25th, 2012 may lend support to these rumors

Bethesda has confirmed that a new DLC is coming, with a trailer to be released on the 5th of November.
I'll post it when its up.

That sucks :(.

I've yet to get Hearthfire though, but I probably will as soon as this next expansion comes out, and catch up on it.

You can remove those borders pretty easily.

We had Skyrim on xbox but the bf let his nephew borrow the cd. When we finally got it back 3 months later, it looked like someone scrubbed cement with it >.> We figured we'll just get it on PC next. Should we get it from Steam or is there someplace else you'd all recommend?

In all honesty though, the PS3 sucks for Skyrim. Between the memory thing and the graphical glitches that would cause your game to freeze; they seem to have a lot of problems with it compared to other machines.

I used to full time the xbox controller for skyrim till i came to enjoy the pc controls for greater precision. The controls are easy enough to map out how you like as well.

I used both controller and mouse + KB. I don't know which I prefer to be honest, because they both work extremely well. I like a controller in my hands though, so I use that. Its really easy to install. I have the Xbox controller with the USB adapter, got it to install and update its drivers and that was it. :)

The game has native 360 support, but you'll need other software if its a different controller.
