The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
alc enchant smith 100 and perked for fullest effect lv 81 armour rating over 3k like a boss
Doesn't armor rating have a cap?
nope my heavy armour skill is like 300 armour rating about 3k prolly able to get it higher
I really hope the "Perfect Dodge" glitch is addressed in the next patch.
Nothing is more frustrating as an archer than to have your target slide their feet out of the way perfectly on time to dodge your arrow despite being perfectly hidden and being right on target. Trust me, it's far too scurried and perfect to be a legitimate dodge. It throws me off every time.

There's math somewhere in the thread, probably in the 40-60 page range. Edit: To be clear, by cap I mean a point at which no matter how much more you stack, it's ineffective. Which is also what I assumed you meant. Straight from uesp:
Damage reduction is capped at 80%. If you are wearing all four pieces of armor, this occurs at 567 displayed armor rating. If you have 100 skill and all relevant armor perks, this requires a smithed armor rating of about 135. You can increase your smithed armor rating by 1 roughly every 2 points of Smithing with the appropriate perk, or every 4 without. Therefore, at 100 Smithing you will need 85 base armor with the appropriate perk, which is not achievable without a shield with Light Armor (though Dragonscale comes close at 82 for the set) and requires at least a Steel Plate set for Heavy Armor. With Fortify Smithing enchanted apparel and Smithing potions you can boost Smithing even further, which can potentially allow any material for which a Smithing perk exists to reach the cap. At the extreme end, you will need about 126 Smithing to make Steel Armor hit the cap, and about 154 Smithing for an Elven set. Unfortunately, Fur, Hide, Studded, Leather, and Iron armors are not affected by any Smithing perks and so cannot be improved as much. With the aid of enchanting (fortify smithing) and pre-made enchanting and smithing potions, and of course the appropriate armor perks, you can reach the armor cap with any style or type of armor in the game, even hide and iron armor. All without even using a shield. Shields, spells, and the Lord Stone can reduce the base armor required to hit the cap even further, but these require more management. I'm looking at giving Skyrim a chance, so I was looking for a download. Holy ***at the amount of mods out there.
If you enjoy solo RPG's and have liked/tried Oblivion you'll like skyrim.
Skyrim seems like a bigger version with better graphics and game play only problem I have is all the cr@ppy patches they have done with the PS3 lately =/ def get it for PC. Upon downloading, notify your next of kin you are in fact alive, and do not call the police to file a missing persons report.
I plan on playing many hours this weekend. Been FF11ing to much as of late!!
So lately I got my smithing to 100, got enchanting to 99 (nearly there dammit!) but with regards to enchanting, I am a ways off from levelling up and so won't be able to get the double enchantment perk yet. Bah! ;;
On another note, I am getting closer to completing the Mage Guild questline / College of Winterhold, currently making my way through Labyrinthian. Gee whiz, it sure seems like this place is bigger than most random dungeons I came across in Skyrim... xD Or maybe that's just my imagination lol What is the best way to do smithing?

This, or leather bracers. Leather bracers you don't have to pay a penny for if you wanna be a penny pincher. Just go out and hunt wolves, bears, anything wild life really and collect their pelts. Turn them into leather, and then a few into leather strips and then make a ton of leather bracers. If you want to level enchanting, enchant what you made or what you find in dungeons and sell it off for profit.

Does anyone else think of South Park when they're in Markarth?
There's roughly two weeks until the Creator Tool Kit gets released. The amount of existing mods will surely double/triple in size. I'm purposely not playing it until that kit gets released.
The current mods are graphics/sound, the real content from mods will all come with the toolkit. It's what I like to play with.

I don't remember most of them now though, or I already got an answer. So I recently fought against Alduin for the first time.
DAT FIRE BREATH. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeezaaaaaaaz it nearly killed me... didn't think it'd sap away my health so fast... On another note, I found out who my favourite character is in Skyrim. Paarthurnax. Most bad-*** dragon around. Fenrir.Tsuji said: » So I recently fought against Alduin for the first time. DAT FIRE BREATH.
