This is the build I was looking at using
I am working on MNK Body +1 atm, I know I am lacking there. Friends have just been more focused on helping me finish Ulhudashis.
I know Beir Belt (+1) is better, I just haven't seen one in a while.
Waiting on a decently priced Hachiryu Haidate to show up.
The questions I have:
Does Light Gorget work? I already have one sitting around and would rather use it if I can.
Am I going to also see a big jump in numbers with MKE head? I finished a while ago and haven't decided on a head yet.
Any other upgrades I should look for?

The Kokugetsu Haidate I use have +2STR +4attack augs, not as good as usu pants, but better then NQ shura.

Big? Not necessarily, your parsed WS average will increase though.

So would it be safe to assume that Ire torque +1/thunder belt would be the same damage as gorget/bb? Assuming you don't miss anything because of the -3 accuracy?

I do have Loki's so that works, though my group is planning on getting at least +1 body the day after I finish 85, so it may be moot anyway. Guess it is time to get MKE head and put Aias Bonnet away until I find another use for it.

I was joking more or less.
If Black is > light, thunder or breeze belt, then wouldn't Ire torque +1 (str +7 acc -something) be better than a gorget? Both gorget and belt have been proven to add the same .1 fTP, right?

There's like a +9 str belt btw (which is better than BB)
Here it is right now, working on vereth atm. Gone over 200 3rd trophies trying to get +3str on kokugetsu haidate but haven't even gotten another +2str one yet. Hacihiryu seems out of reach for me, but aside from that I'm very happy with this set.
Other than the pants, which you already addressed, very solid.
Depending on what you're fighting and acc/attack needs, I'd consider swapping ear2 for aesir ear pendant.

For pure damage yes. To reiterate what Blacklion said, Beir Belt +1 is +9 STR and is a better WS piece than Black Belt.
But do keep in mind if your accuracy isn't capped for some reason then your trusty sea gorget is going to look ever so more attractive.

The best possible augs you can get on Kokugetsu Haidate for VS are +2STR and +4attack.

My apologies Skylong, I'll update wiki as soon as I can if I remember. A little bit of me died inside because now I need to aug another 200 pants haha.
After numerous parses in abyssea, i've seen most peoples acc (On Bigger mobs like t2/3 and such) are around 90-92% range (the people with atma's and abyssites), so it's a safe bet to just go with Beir+1 on your waist, and gorget on your neck (Since you'll get more str in waist slot than neck). I mean personally im just saying the average person, i'm sure many people can pull off both Beir+1 and Ire+1, but it's a safe bet to just go with the Beir and then the gorget.

Looks very good, you already addressed what you need to improve.
I would suggest an Anwig if you have access to it also.
