My money's on it being a merited spell, like tier 2 AM. Non-elemental, long casting time, takes up all your MP...and every NM you cast it on will resist.

I was under this impression as well. When I brought it up in LS a few weeks ago, I got trolled and was told it's dark, but I think people were just saying that because Impact is.

I don't think they tested the element of Meteor specifically on AV, but rather that in trying to find ways to survive it, they found that dark resistance reduces damage taken from the spell.
