What kind of stats would you really want to see them put on our Blue Mage Empyrean hands and body?

I don't care if you want to say something realistic or severely overpowered. Just what would you want? ^^

Obviously some stats that would be awesome to see would be "Adds Refresh effect", some Haste+%, and STR+ on at least one of the two pieces. Personally I would also like to see some good MND+ or "Cure" potency stuff for heals. Maybe something that enhances Fast Cast.

But hands-down the one thing I'd be happy to see on one of the pieces would be an addition to Set Points. On the hands or something, even if all they had was "Blue Magic Points +5" on them, I'd probably use them all the time. What do you think?

You won't see blue magic points on gear. If you changed gear you'd lose a spell and be without magic for a minute.

It'd work just like when you sync down (or enter a level-capped situation) with more spells than set points. I'm sure it's not super easy to do, but it wouldn't be impossible either. And even if it never happens, you gotta admit it would be super nice to have ;D

Seeing the trend of the past couple AFs, I'd say they may have the other stats that haven't been used yet (VIT, AGI, MND). I really hope that isn't the case, but just thought I'd point that out since the other AF sets seemed to put a focus on having all those stats represented in some way or another. Maybe one of those pieces will be a tanking piece? A cure piece maybe?

Good point, so far though it seems SE has done a good job on stats that each job can use (even though the feet are a little hard to swallow). Hopefully we keep our refresh on body piece, with a nice MND build on hands or body piece. Of course your ACC, STR, DEX, and would like a nice mp bonus since I took a major hit not using homam any longer.

Yeah, our Basmak definitely aren't as broad in use as our Kavuk and Tayt. They're great for what they're used for, though, so I guess I can't complain.

The Kavuk and Tayt are great examples of what can be done with our Empyrean armor, and I hope the hands and body pieces are more like that. A cool alternative to simply giving us Auto-Refresh would be to improve the bonuses for all enhancing BLU spells. +1 MP/tic from Battery Charge while equipped would be pretty awesome.

I also wouldn't rule-out another new job ability, or possibly even a cool new trait that the body or hands could enhance.

SE knows that they wont beat AF+1 for casting, so they'll either make it a TP piece or an INT/MND piece. I have a feeling Body will have a degree of haste on it, and either A butt load of Accuracy, or Idealy Refresh. I think they may put Refresh on, because they aren't totally oblivious to the Manteel vs Jubbah comparison, and the fact that Jubbah usually wins (outside of Abyssea and Durinn atma).

For hands, I expect to see a piece much like Ares' hands with a high degree of accuracy on it, however I'm expecting the stats to be something like DEX+6 STR+6 VIT+6.

I have a strong feeling we're gonna get a new ability, so far every piece has an enhanced effect. I wonder if Body's will enhance 2hr's ability, which ours is total GARBAGE. I'm aware of the 350tp mod, its still garbage for such an UBER job.

Would like to have a job ability (similar to composure, except with our spin on it) that somehow enhance our enhancing magic like Efflux does to our damage spells.

If blue mages get regain on their new AF (please dnc get regain), that would be HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE. Besides, if they did give you regain, it would be through a combination of new spells or something.

Off topic, but I hope DNC gets regain, or at the very least SAM.

I like that idea. A Composure-like ability would be neat.

I hadn't done a lot of testing, but during the brief time where I played with it, I did notice that ANY spell did use that up. Was quite annoying. Does that affect spells a whole lot? I barely noticed anything, if at all, when I played with it. Then again, like I said earlier, I only fooled around with it very briefly.

It has small effect on dmg. Like 20% on magic for full 10 or 29% attack boost for physical

Yeah there's lots that Azure Lore could do differently. It has a wretched duration and a mediocre effect. I still say they should let us use all our spells (including the ones we haven't set) for 60 seconds or something. Azure Lore's effect is worthy of a 20-minute recast timer lol.

Yeah, I love the idea of a Composure-style ability.

Well Azure lore is a bit better now. With spells that have larger increases in ftp from tp and such. But yeah think it should be more like a constant CA and/or BA ability. Even at 0% to mod it would be 10X more useful. Also 1 min duration

I'd like to see that Skillchain Damage increase and some Physical spell Potency...
