Okay, so someone in my XIV LS mentioned this game >_> I pirated it at first to try it, sat up for like 10 hours straight carving away at a mountain and slowly turning it into my own private mountain fortress/deep core mine..
I'm heavily addicted to this damned game ; ;! I bought it today though. I'm interested in trying out the online portion <_< but I'm not really sure how that'd work or anything..
Also, jesus christ.. some of this ***that people have built... I can't imagine how many hours it's taken.. I've put in well over 20 hours on my place and it still looks basic as ***..
He's one from my first map, It seems while I was down below mining a Gamecube fell on my Castle, since I wasn't there I lost the game and a sector of my castle was nullified >.<
Anyone created any elaborate mob traps? I found a skelly dungeon and made a water trap to harvest arrows. My newest project is a minecart going over a huge portion of the Nether.
I've been lava lighting my mines recently, using Glass in the wall instead of torches. looks nice.
You know I've played the crap out of Minecraft and know quite a bit about it. Everything this guy is doing isn't new to me. For some reason, though, he is entertaining to watch and yesterday I got to episode 22. I think whats interesting to me is just watching how someone else actually plays the game. Not just "look what I built" or here's a tutorial on how to do x.

I have this too, let me know if you get the online portion going, Ive been wanting to build something cool but it seems like it would be alot more fun to do with someone else =3
i've been working on my own version of the minecart interstate thats on youtube, its definitely a huge project. i have found like 10 stacks worth of clay though
I'd be willing to play some SMP with you, however everything I've seen with the SMP servers are buggy. I know its being worked on and will only get better. For instance a few days ago, I started a server to play with my brother. I copied my local SSP to the server and was showing him around. He couldn't open doors, mobs didn't make sounds and didn't animate when attacking you (skeletons). Very annoying.
It was announced that it is going Beta status Dec. 20. With that change, the price will increase from 10 euro to 15. They are also removing the clause "all updates are free" for Beta and beyond. However, it will still apply to people who've bought during Alpha. If you considered the game, now would be the time to buy!
It's actually kinda interesting to watch. Basically he has 48 hours to build a game from the ground up built on a certain theme (this theme is discovery).
ok. so my friend told me about this game. he knows im a big fan of G-mod (a mod for half-life 2. basically a sandbox mode) and know i love creating type-ish games. and suggested i try it. however I'm skeptical. every other "web browser game" iv played before are ether quick lil flashy games that only hold there charm for 5 min before getting repetitive or just blah. or the java games. they have been a nightmare. ether extremely choppy no matter how nice of a computer you have. or just pure garbage. also more elements to go wrong for a crash. everyone knows web browsers crash WAY more then a stranded game engine. and they have a tendency to kill your bandwidth.(runescape = choppy, second life = nothing but an oversize advertisement) and i notice it has a thing going on. its got the "classic" for free play. and Alpha for $10. however you'll have full rights to release copy when the game comes out. hopefully will be non-web browser base by then. but i figured meh. what harm could be done trying the "free" one. so i install java. and head back to the site... and there servers are down. yet another reason to influence me NOT to buy a online dependent game from a not so well known provider. has anyone gotten into this that has also played those other online games able to give me a little text review on the game? is it worth the $10? will it have its own engine on release?
