Amano Still Worth It? |

Amano still worth it?
Been debating atm, I have stage3 gkt atm (lolstage3) about half way done with stage4 (Have Attestation of Decisiveness and Necropsyche already, just missing fragment). But with Masamune out and all, is it even worth finishing/continuing?

Only reasons not to finish Amano are:
1. you don't have the gil for the currency, 2. you don't want to grind the Magian Trials required to bump the relic from its lvl 75 version up to the newer lvl 85 version, or 3. you don't really want the weapon in the first place. Comparing a Relic weapon to an Empyrean weapon is comparing apples to oranges. Massamune beats the ***out of Amano and its' not like the drain on Cata, where using amano would be good for a tanking scenario wep or something of the sort, either. Offline

If you're a SAM main I'd say it's still worth it, especially if you're that far in. Then again I'd go for Masamune aswell >.> I r SAM crazy.
As far as I can tell Masamune beats Amano hands down, the weapon skill is better, the aftermath is better (assuming you manage to 5 hit both >.>), and Masamune just looks *** win. My advice: get both. :D Stage 3 isn't really "That far in". As far as a relic goes, that's almost no progress at all.
For Amano, you need 178 "100" pieces of different currencies. Stage 3 is 18 100s. Half way done with Stage 4 though.
Yea, but at that point you're not locked in. If he's traded in currency, only locked into stage 3 losswise. (and even then, that's still only 48/178(accounted 30 100s for halfway into stage 4), still not much in the big picture.
Even taking 30 coins off the total if you borrow them 48/148, less than 1/3 of the way Sylph.Tigerwoods said: Yea, but at that point you're not locked in. Spharai are I heard, but that's about it. Spharai get owned pretty bad by Vereth

Hopefully they'll actually make relics good again one day For math purposes, I had Kine just assume Victory Smite > Asuran, since we don't know the exact numbers to get correct calculations and it still came out 5-8% ahead. In reality, Victory smite crushes the *** out of asuran from the screenies I've seen. Especially w/ crit atma in abyssea, I've seen screens of 3k+ (it's a crit based ws)

I mean a certain amount of accuracy, but after that? Offline

As far as I can tell it needs a lot of attack, like Kaiten, to be of use. I have a decent WS set for Fudo and on defensive mobs it beats Gekko by a small amount, but as soon as you enter abyssea or fight something that has ~average defense you'll see the 2.5k+ Fudos flying. ***'s fun. >mfw i completed amano trials in a month straight
>mfw i found out masamune was that much better HERE I COME, MASAMUNE Relics will be crushed pretty hard soon enough if they don't bring out some better trials, +D and +acc/atk is just *** (for 2handers at least). All horn really does at this point is save inventory :(

1. Relics will always be in the top tier of weapon, maybe not always the best but still good. 2. If you bot or you enjoy being bored out of your *** mind doing trials then go for it. 3. Amano was always one of the worst relics to make in terms of improvement over the next best weapon. Amano is very strong but not worlds apart from from other trial GKT like apoc was tredecim/perdu or youchi is from Ebow. I think you'll be happier with masa. Hard cap in skill for march was found, and other +3 instruments were added. It's really only giving +1 ballad now (and we already have infinite MP in abyssea), so it's needing an update now too.

All horn really does at this point is save inventory :( Not only can it do the same, and sometimes even more, than your other horns do, which can save you 6-7 inventory slots, you're also getting the singing and wind skill from it. Can't beat it. Bahamut.Kymira said: Shiva.Flionheart said: Sylph.Tigerwoods said: Yea, but at that point you're not locked in. If he's traded in currency, only locked into stage 3 losswise.
