It works just like conserve mp, only sometimes, but only on blood pacts as far as I understand. I don't think they work together if you're /blm.

Cause I see there are 27 items with conserve mp on.. and 20 can be wear by Smn.. So.. I think those gear give you random "conserve mp".. just hard to understand if working on BPs ^^ with all those refresh, signet.. and blood boon well.. is hard.. ^^

Conserve MP only affects actual spells being cast, not Blood Pact MP cost. Blood Boon is the equivalent of it for Blood Pacts and is the only way to reduce the cost for them.

SMN might get those armors with conserve mp, because its a job that still casts magic. The initial avatar casting costs mp, which could be conserved. Also, SMN SJ's/mage a lot, which conserve mp would be useful for that.
