Anyone else sitting at 0 to a few hundered bytes per second on the update? I've beening going for about 2hour and am only at 0.2%.

mines not quite that bad,23% after bout 2hrs. but yeah i've seen my download speed in the b/s range >.<

Use utorrent if your getting slow downloads a 9hr update with official patcher will take about 30 mins.

the torrent is located in My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV > Downloads > ffxiv > *file with random letters and numbers* (could be 2) > metadata.

When the torrent has downloaded copy it to My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV > Downloads > ffxiv > *file with random letters and numbers* (could be 2) > patch.

Note. ensure the file with random numbers is the same as the one you got the torrent out of or it will not work
