Samurai - How Do We Get It?

Yeah, I know: only the EU version is out, and even then, only the collector's edition. I need to cool my jets and wait.

I can't help it. I want information. I'm a Samurai fan-boy.

So, a lot of jobs have been leaked outside of the basic starter ones (PUG, MRD, LNC, etc.) One of those is Samurai. I never saw any Samurai guilds during Beta, although I did see a few for other not-yet-released classes (Arcanist guild in Limsa, for example.)

I'm going to be very curious to see when they implement it, and what we have to do to "unlock" it. Will there be a quest or do we just slap on a GK and go to town?

I'm HOPING it's available right from the start, but that'll probably be too good to be true.

In any case, if anyone finds out anything on this, will you please post and let the rest of us Sam-addicts know?

It's not going to be in release, we might see it later, might.

Remember that we weren't able to enter Ishgard and that's a city that is open(?) during release. There might be guilds in ishgard we dont' know about.

I'm going straight to Ishgard tomorrow then. I'll post if I find anything.

I dunno how well it does at higher levels, but it seriously owns at lower levels.

Nope =/ couldn't find the ingredients/right recipe..

Me and this random chick started trying to make one the 18th, but she had the wrong recipe too I guess..

BUT! Since SE was so kind to finally give a listing of recipes after I'd already figured out a bunch of them on my own... I do know how to make them now..

The Buffalo Leather portion is going to suck, since it's colored Buffalo Leather, and that means it has to be made, which means I have to be quite a bit higher in Leather then I was, plus Alchemy to make the dye.

well what about 1hand axe? and also how will there be a beastmaster class, or will there be pet job at all

leather guild in gridania doesn't sell colored leather? clothcraft guild does ><

Only buffalo leather it sells is regular undyed buffalo leather.

SE said that pet jobs are hard to balance with the other jobs so they won't be in the release but might come with a patch.

Does alchemy make dye? Where do y ou get the bug stuff for the dyes lmao

I'm not clear on where you get that stuff.. but yes Alchemy is what makes the dyes. One of the dyes for sheep leather is those bugs and linseed oil (also made from alchemy)

I bought 2000 crysta... does that mean I'm good to go for 2 months? Does the crysta automatically get applied?
