Yeah that video is animal cruelty. It really all just depends on the farmer and such though. Everything we eat is a living thing though so we cant be too picky. I do, however, do not agree with the way those animals were being treated. Going to sound wrong after watching that video, but if I want steak or chicken, I'll cook it and eat all the same. I think people are just a bit more sensitive when it comes to animals because they can express their pain for us to see, whereas fruits and vegetables and the like just simply get picked to be eaten without making a noise of pain or agony. ...Still don't think they should be treated like that all the same though.
Did anyone else get a craving for bacon or a cheeseburger while watching this? I guess I'm just a bad girl for wanting food.. but how the hell do you know if THAT specific meat product you're eating came from this?
Ya if and when people want to try and slander something they will find the worst thing (if not close to it) to try and prove a point... not all places are like this.. so it's w/e to me. I'm not gonna sit here and say that these places aren't sick and twisted, b/c they are, BUT at least not all of them practice butchering meat this way.

It is estimated that there are 1.3 billion cattle in the world today.
They have issues with overpopulation in India specifically with Cows for obvious reasons.
We domesticated the cows so we are obligated to deal with the population control.
Not trying to validate crude killing methods or anything, but population control is pretty important.

If they changed how they treat/ fix up there barns etc. It would probably have to be one or a few at a time. Because if everyone did it at once, we wouldnt be able to get food. Im sure peta and other animal stuff are trying to get the factory to change there ways but its hard. but they have done it forever and its probably hard to change now. It IS wrong what they are doing but gotta look outside the box.

1) Anything that causes suffering is bad
2) Anything that is bad we should avoid
3) Animals suffer in factory farming
4) We should avoid factory farming
Also the video is 2007 alot of rules and regulations have been introduced since then.
This is more of a scare monger tactic too make people become vegetarians/vegans.
Also more and more people have started eating free range too since then.
Someone has a brain. There are alternatives out there and going vegan isn't going to help these animals at all. Omnivores, Carnivores, and Herbavores need to work together to make sure this treatment of animals stops happening through legislation.
Animals die horribly in the wild and in captivity, the notion of humans-bad, animals-good is a little old. x.x We live in an imperfect world, if your goal is perfection, you will die disappointed. /endrant I suppose.
