I was looking at the Slow II page, Slow II, and was looking at the formula for the slow effect. Now, my question is what is that referring to, as in the % of slow or the duration of slow?

So far my formula is--

([230] + [2 * 10] + [floor(103* 1.6)])/1024

(230 + 20 + 164)/1024
(414)/1024
= 0.404296875

That being said, what do I need to do to make it better? I assume adding more MND and more merits, but at the number it is at now, is it fine?

Currently I have

4/5 Bio III
3/5 Paralyze
2/5 Slow II
1/5 Phalanx II (Going to get rid of this in favor for 1 into something else, possibly ParaII, Slow II, or Dia III)

Also, what is the formula for Paralyze II?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm about 99.999% sure the cap on Slow II is 37%. Unless it was changed in the past year or so.

The potency, not the duration.

What do I need to do to cap it at 37%?

Never done that foruma before, but you need 75 more MND than the mob you'r casting on to cap.

That means I'll cap on mobs with pretty low MND with this.

Well you just said it's at 40%, so your options are to get LESS MND gear, or drop a Slow II merit which will give you less MACC too. Then again so will dropping MND gear.

I belive slow merits go ontop of the dMND cap.

Edit: But I can be mistaken ofc.

dMND formula, at least I'm guessing, is "Player's MND - Target's MND times 2"

Mine for example vs say a mob with 100 MND--

(103-100)*2

So mine is 6. @_@ Wth does that mean?

dMND, dINT, and fSTR are just fancy words to say "Your ____ vs mob's ____". In this case, if your MND is 3 more than your target's MND, then you have 6 dMND and then you'd just use that in formulas. Ingame, that number really means nothing other than just in formulas.

If what Kvazz said is true for Slow II (I know it is for NQ slow), then you need 75 dMND to cap Slow II potency, or your MND needs to be 38 higher than the target's MND. I think Kirin has roughly 120 on every stat so 158 MND to cap indefinitely.

When you reach the number 350, that means it's capped.

If you have 103 MND, and the mob have 100 MND, you need 72 more MND in your slow set to cap.
