Watched up to entry 5. So far its pretty bland, so I'm not sure whether to watch the rest or not. If it's like Paranormal Activity, I might enjoy it. If it's like The Blair Witch Project, I might just point and laugh.

That was pretty creepy particularly the first couple of videos then it went downhill. The last video scared me the most :3

People always said that when she came out the TV, that that was the scary part of the movie. Honestly, the scariest ***about the movie, to me, was the video itself. If you look up something like, "Subliminal Messages" on Youtube, you can see similar stuff. The way they presented it in The Ring just made my skin crawl.

As for her coming out of the TV.. meh. You knew the guy was going to die, so you pretty much expected something freaky to happen.

If you got more freaked out at the film in The Ring, then you're probably more like me and would get freaked out by the movie, Audition. About thirty minutes in, there's this skin-crawl, eye-watering scene that just freaks me the hell out.

As for this film, meh. Not too scary, just kind of eerie. It does however, make me want to play around with a camera in my place and do some video editing with mirror reflections. Then make it like I didn't notice, and I'm just posting my place on Youtube. Then people start to notice some weird faces and ***in the mirrors which would eventually lead to something like this film.

Entry 84

I just went to the house for a sixth time, this time I found, along with various Cadburry Eggs with the yolk sucked out, another tape. What it means I'm not sure yet, but these slender(wo)men seem vicious. I wont ever be going back for a 7th time.



Entry 85

I'm going back at 2am to the house for a 7th time. After losing six hours I checked back my surveillance tapes I had over the city. I don't remember any of this.



I'm jumping from motel room to motel room on my student loans atm. Living pretty well for a struggling film student on the run. I'm not sure when I'll be able to post again.

Haha, i agree with the going out a night thing. He went to that house twice at night and once during the day... That was kinda stupid. But for student work? Its damn good. If you type in "student films" alot of it will be utter ***. Like, real real bad. These guys put alot of time and effort into this id say.

Really, it's a whole lot of nothing. It's a story of a guy who found himself in a strange hotel after losing 7 of the past months of his memory. But watching certain aspects, it's obviously fake. Like how he has to show the camera that it's a bottle of ibuprofen instead of just acknowledging it. That and when he met Jessica in the hallway, she sparked a whole conversation over something as stupid as a camera. Normal people would just shrug it off and move on, much less give them your life story with personal greeting. It's a fake, but entertaining nonetheless. Nothing freaky is going to jump out, though.

For the ability to make an armature video, slightly worth watching; I give a C-. As for it being nothing but stuff we have all seen before in armature or blockbuster cinematography, therefor lacking overall uniqueness, D. I also agree with Magnuss, more attention should be paid to keeping a natural feel of interactions with props, scenery, and personal interactions. When you play to the audience directly, it lessons their ability to fall into the characters. Any way bleh!
