blocking doesn't really change much past you being able to see their post. what those types want essentially is a personal banhammer.
What would be good would be a hide feature over a block feature. It would be ideal just due to the fact that it addresses spam specifically.
Do I expect it? nah. could care less either way, won't change how I do business.
