Ina, did you receive my package? :x Didn't have anything earler when I was playing... I managed to get ahold of some though.
Just hit level 80. now the gear grind starts ~.~
made a mesmer last night for fun.. soo amazing with a great sword ;3
Any tips to hit 80 quick? Up until 43 all Ive done so far is story missions, unlock maps and do lots of events I come across.
What pisses me off is when finishing an area's map, I get Rare (dark yellow) gear...that I can't use on that character...
such as a *** Bow and speargun... and I'm a damn Necromancer. Also I have something like 80 some transmutation stones and like 6 fine transmutation stones. At first I didn't use them cuz I thought you didn't get them much and wanted to use them later in life. Then i kept getting them and getting them......... now I don't even know wtf to do with them. Ravant:
XP boosters and XP items. You can buy some XP items in the Trading Post (once it's back again) And just event spam. Maybe switching areas once appropriate. Or crafting. I heard crafting works to get you fast exp. Ragnarok.Ravant said: » Any tips to hit 80 quick? Well, since seven of us are in it...Lux Lorelei.

logged in this morning before work just to finish more of it, but im missing a hearth, and cant see it on map >.> So anyone know how short bow vs long bow works out for ranger? Looking at the rate of fire and abilites I want to say shortbow is stronger against a single mob and long bow against groups but idk for sure.
Been using Long bow + Sword/dagger personally depending on my situation. edit: also, Noticed last night as we killed things, a small heart appears besides the name of someone you are grouped with, and shows quest progression if you hover your mouse on it... kinda nifty as opposed to keep asking "how much more?" lol Asura.Ina said: » So anyone know how short bow vs long bow works out for ranger? Been using Long bow + Sword/dagger personally depending on my situation. I was wondering what other rangers preferred. Misa suggested switching to and from longbow/shortbow, so that's what I've been doing. I was thinking about trying longbow/sword/dagger. Greatsword provides some cool damaging skills and a counter (?)
havent really tried sword-dagger yet lol Sword/dagger gives lots of poison/bleed damage is pritty mobile to avoid alot of stronger attacks, one attack has you attacking and leaping away, then can follow it by leaping back into them. Will have to give greatsword a try later.
Axe/dagger is mostly melee AoE .-. which puts me in trouble sometimes.
*** deer need to gtfo! sadly i keep forgetting one of the attacks is AoE. Anyone happen to know what level you can start running instances? Just been toying around outside Divinity's Reach, doing quests, storyline, and all that jazz, but experience seems to be flagging from just world events and favor quests.
Also, forgot that it went by display rather than character name; still in need of a guild, if anyone can oblige - Venlo.9501 on Blackgate. I heard there's a level 30 one somewhere.
while running around in the Char newby area to get a couple pets on ranger, I saw some gate icon on my map. I didnt go there, but assumed it was a dungeon ?
i think those are dungeons. at least that's what they seem when i went close to one and it was like "group of 5 preferred, level 50+"
The individual stories(they merge so you can actually do them at the same time as others !) gets soo epic ^-^
