I've gotten like 500 emails over the course of 1 week.... this is sooo freaking annoying
and each email is going to a different person but for some reason it getting redirecting towards me

Those emails have nothing to do with people selling their accounts.. It's a scam.. If you go to the page you can tell it's a scam.

That's a fake email from RMT, are you seriously under the impression people buying/selling accounts is causing a big company like SE to 'accidentally' send you hundreds of emails?
You apparently visited an RMT website or an extremely non-secure ffxi related web site(not this one) and picked up spyware/entered your email in some form there to be receiving these emails.
I would go with the former tbh. I would clean my pc of all spyware, possibly even change my email and then most importantly, stop buying gil from RMT sites. <_<

lol I havn't bought/sold any accounts nor did I buy gil ever
And if changing password, clearing browser history/cookies/tempfiles etc etc, doing spyware/virus scans doesn't solve the problem then what o-o?

Also go to your E-mail SPAM controls and block domain square-enix.com

You forgot to black out your email at the top of your window, but I googled it and it links up to a website where you wanted to trade your warhammer account for an ffxi account. Maybe RMTs saw your email on there and sent you that email?
