And support janna still builds ap. They just... you know... support their carry. Feed them farm. Feed them kills.
Edit: And yeah, normal games it doesn't matter. Do what you want in normal games. I just said that because a few pages back I had a picture of me as rammus where I had went 16/1 lol. Dat KSing Ulti.
Edit #2 because it's late and I didn't take time to read all post: In my rank team it's fallen to me to play the roll of support and even I occasionally snipe a kill as Janna. It's accutally led me to stop playing her and move to other supports. Might actually try to support alistar.
Its a few pages late but I was kidding about the rammus thing
and i dont see how her getting a kill or 2 is bad she does do good damage, though i can see how it is inconsistent
and those High ELO teams can you know, *** off

tried to play a match during lunch time, accidently queued into Dominion. laptop crashed during a team fight, managed to get back in, only to see a "lose" on my screen the moment i hopped back :/
did a 2nd Dom match, still lost, and managed to get the best score on my team :/ *sigh*

It's not in normals. Like I said before Normals are normals. In ranked though you really want those kills and gold to go to your carries. Occasional accidental kill is fine, or you being the only one who can secure it is cool. But actively taking them from your carry when they could had gotten them no problem isn't cool.
But again Normals =/= Ranked.
