Also :O Vi is free this week, been wanting to try her out. and this cracked me up - * Riot Games in no way guarantees the accuracy of any weather predictions made by Forecast Janna. Same for Weather forecast anchor Janna. Recently started playing this in the last week or two because my brother kept pestering me and now I'm kind of addicted. I really, seriously need advice, though.
My main issue is that I honestly don't know what the hell I'm doing half the time. I usually play Yi (and usually get yelled at because I took Yi and someone else wanted him) because he seems broken as ***. Currently my build for him is like... Berserker's Greaves -> Blade of the Ruined King -> Youmuu's Ghostblade -> Phantom Dancer -> Infinity Edge -> Statikk Shiv I think there was only one game that I actually got all six of those (and I had like 38 kills and 22 assists or something, game was like an hour long; usually I'm at least positive and get ~10-15 kills and ~0-10 deaths). Most of the time I end up finishing Phantom Dancer, but that's about it. ANYWAY, if that's not completely what-the-*** worthy, I have other questions. What the hell is an adc, a cc, a jung and all these other abbreviations that confuse me? What other champions are easy-ish to play that aren't Yi because it seems like he's way too overpowered and if Riot's decent like I've heard he'll get nerfed soon or something? What are runes and what do I do with them? edit: Also got Pantheon, he's actually pretty fun (I'd rather play him over Yi, but I'm terrible). I just have no idea what to build for him because I usually end up with like only one or two items at the end of the game 'cus he attacks slow and I can't get killshots on minions at the start. ADC = Attack Damage Carry -- It should probably be RADC for Ranged Attack Damage carry, but meh
CC stands for crowd control. Basically any slow, stun, silence, knock up -- Anything that will disrupt you from taking an action Jng/Jung/Jungle refers to a role that stays in the jungle and farms the creeps there rather than lane. This allows another lane to get solo experience, and allows the jungler to help all 3 lanes Runes are... runes that give you beneficial stats. Stats like more movement speed, attack damage, ability power, etc. You attach them to a rune page that you can equip. I wouldn't worry about those yet. Baron/Nashor refer to the giant purple worm thing that spawns at 15 minutes. Killing it gives your whole team gold and a buff. Drake/dragon/drag/whatever refers to the dragon. Killing gives your whole team gold. Blue refers to ancient golem; a creep in the jungle that gives gives you a beneficial buff after killing it. Increased mana regeneration and 20% CDR (cooldown reduction) which decreases the time between spell casts Red refers to the lizard creep. Killing it gives you a buff that makes your auto attacks deal true damage over time and slows the enemy a bit. All I can think of now. I'm sure more will chime in. Let me know if I've not explained anything. Oh, easy mode champs? I dunno, try them all and see who you like. Some have roles that they are strongest in. For example, some champions aren't well suited to lane and benefit from farming the jungle. Check out your champions tab in your profile and tick off the different champion types to see what is what. Figher Jungler Bruiser Carry Etc Also, LoL has a pretty awful community. Don't be afraid to mute people. That makes a lot more sense now...
Fairy.Spence said: » ADC = Attack Damage Carry -- It should probably be RADC for Ranged Attack Damage carry but uhhh what does that mean? ^ A champion who does physical damage (his/her abilities will scale off of attack damage) and are ranged, meaning they shoot a gun, bow/arrow, whatever.
If you scroll over a champions abilities, it will have a base damage, and then a number in brackets in varying colours. The number in the brackets is I guess it's modifier. Meaning if you want said ability to do more damage, or in some cases heal/shield/etc, you need to buy items that have the corresponding stat. If it's orange, it will scale off attack damage. If it's green, it will scale off ability power. If it's yellow, it will scale off of armor, if it's red, it will scale off health, and I'm sure there are a few others. Bahamut.Rulerofdarkness

Some definitions could probably be improved and others added, but it has quite a few. That helps a lot, I appreciate it.
Question about the blue buff, does it allow you to go past the cooldown reduction cap? Also I have never tried to do it, but does getting the blue buff on both sides have additional benefits?
No, and no. It just refreshes the buff.
I hate Malph.
and people who 3v3 like a pack of wolves, never straying from earshot of one another. sorry fairly random there. Teemo's worse than Malph. By a lot. Seriously. *** Teemo.
Also finally starting to get the hang of this. Got a quad kill last game with Pantheon. :D R3G1STRY said: » Teemo's worse than Malph. By a lot. Seriously. *** Teemo. for sure. Yi could probably be added to the list, but some still manage to suck with him. Panth shuts Yi down. Lance throw thing -> Crit thing -> Shield bash thing.
he's still pretty strong if the person knows how to play him right...
@ 1:00 YouTube Video Placeholder Pantheon falls off very hard (and rather early) whereas Yi only gets better the more the game lasts. He's actually very easy to shut down in early levels, he's weaker than before (Yi), he just becomes a monster if fed with the proper items and/or if the game drags on (The Yi zone).
If Pantheon was to be an issue, Yi can just Q farm better than Pantheon himself, allowing him to not die and win his lane anyway. I can't see any way for Pantheon to beat Yi in a proper 1v1, especially since Pantheon has 0 sustain and has very limited MPs for his Spear Shot, flask or not. Teemo is ***objectively speaking because he doesn't bring anything to a team. He may be a terror in lane for new players because he exploits a specific situation that is his only edge: the fact that new players once they take his Blind/first AA will run away and not commit. If you all in Teemo, or simply commit, assuming you didn't feed him before doing so, he'll melt. It's as simple as that. This is why he's literally the counter of nothing and isn't played when a serious result is sought. Malphite is very, very strong, especially once team fights start and when your team is able to ward the other side of the map. He's one of the few champs that can successfully 1v2 and not become useless. teemo is pretty good at split pushing and having map control with lots of vision with the shrooms. he doesn't offer "that" much to a team fight but he can be pretty nasty to go against.
Fairy.Spence said: » ADC = Attack Damage Carry -- It should probably be RADC for Ranged Attack Damage carry, but meh I think you mean Marksman huehuehue Teemo is a ***. But I think his shrooms are pretty team oriented. Can be used as pseudo wards and are great for chasing/kiting if you've placed them accordingly. In teamfights, if you have 2-3 shrooms on hand, they can be used for peeling and corralling the enemy team. And blind darts are nice for throwing on the enemy adc. Not saying he is great, but he's not ***, imo.
lol nothing more fun than catching a team trying to baron early, and taking it to em' hahahhaaha
(watched a bunch of the teemo vid) There's also nothing more fun than ace-ing a team on a hunch that they're doing Baron.
technically every champion has a use, and no champion is completely useless in every situation(unless Riot decides to do that on purpose at times like they did at one point with Eve) but some champions are complete ***in some situations and amazing in others
and when it comes to team fights and comparing champions to others (this is what it comes down to when you are talking about a champions usefulness in team fights) teemo is *** Don't mistake this for me saying he can't be team oriented, he can use his shrooms can be used as "wards" while splitpushing and he can run away very well, and he is very good at 1v1ing. This makes him a good split pusher But because of this it makes his team fight near useless, and if you're going to pick teemo you need to know that you're sacrificing team fighting ability to avoid team fights. The point I'm trying to make is that if you're going to argue Teemo's usefulness please don't bring up what he can do in team fights, bring up his actual strengths |
