Can't Transfer Characters To A New Game?

Help! I just bought FFXI Ultimate Collection on DVD version since I was missing a lot of expansions and add-ons. Talking to a LS member, she said if I did the digital download (too late!) it would have just added what I was missing. Now since I have the DVD version I assume it'll be a complete fresh install/re-install going along with a new POL Id. In the manual "POL IDs: Addendum" it says I can't transfer characters over. Any idea on how to keep my characters with the Ultimate Collection disk I got?

Install new expansions, use the reg code from the new copy of ffxi with your previous account info and bingo.

Go into Playonline, and there should be a part under membership (iirc) where you can input the code.

Install the game and expansions etc and just log in with your old account? I've bought new versions of ffxi a few times and just logged in with my old account.. :P

You can just log on with your old POL/PW
