She's oppurtunistic.. You'd be surprised at how many of your 'friends' would do the same thing if given the oppurtunity.. That's why you do NOT give it to them, they can't 'not give it back' and the world and your friendship keeps on going.
Maybe it's best you learn this lesson in the game, rather with your own hard earned money.. (the same people who would do this, would very likely do the same IRL)

By nature ppl are naturally greedy. When you have online friends it's easier for them to gtfo after they take an item. In rl it happens less because ppl will get their *** kicked. There is no danger on the internet and it's why ppl act out at their worst.
You can be best friends with someone on the game, you still have to realize they are 20x more likely to steal ***in the game than in rl. Even if they are very nice, that's 20x more likely and just might be enough....
