Bottom line with all the gear is that I wouldn't invest a whole hell of a lot of time in gear that isnt upgrading, like Magian, perle is very nice but obsolete by what? 85? 90? We are going to have to wait until 99 to really see what gear is worth going for.
Considering the difficulty of the content that was introduced with this patch, gimping yourself to current gear til 99 will be similar to meriting in full RSE. You can do it, but you're going to have a much harder time getting that better gear later.

Thats true, but not exactly what I mean, my point is get the gear you can and move on. I really doubt will all the Chars we all level that you are going to complete alot of these sets as we level up, there is going to be way to much gear, my point was get what you need move on and wait til 99...

The fatal flaw in this sad fact is that these are gonna be wasted points if we instead of new build sets we get upgrades of this.

People have to make judgement calls. If their LS does it as an event and they can get a piece of gear quicker than a side-grade/long term upgrade, they should go for it.

(i.e Perle pants until homam pants drop in my case. LS has a long list for the homam pants. It is very reasonable, imo, to get them due to the amount of time for each.)

Key items providing benefits in Abyssea

You can purchase key items that will help you in Abyssea for Cruor.

1. Ivory Abyssite of Sojourn grants you more time for each Traverser Stone you trade to the Abyssean Surveyor.
2. Ivory Abyssite of Confluence reduces the Cruor cost for using the Veridical Conflux teleportation system.
3. Ivory Abyssite of Expertise reduces the cooldown after using a Martello's service.
6000/4800/4800 Cruor cost.

Curious as to how much Sojourn adds to the time.

Has BG or anyone else confirmed if these Key Items (Ivory Abyssites) are permanent or temporary?

I don't think anyone has got enough Cruor to purchase them to tell. With the cost I don't see them being temporary.

you get one stone every 20 hours, after 60 hours you get 3 stones = 90 minutes, after doing a quest you can unlock a 4th stone allowing a max of 120 minutes

Aye, as bad as I want the map and confluxes, I may end up saving up for this first.

The only exception will be if the best ways to accumulate cruor are far away and make me get the confluxes first.

Edit for your edit: I have no idea. That's an epic amount of Cruor.

Not what we are talking about.

This key item supposedly extends the duration of each stone.

The key item Scarlet abyssite of lenity drops from Mangy-tailed Marvin.

Looking to find other accounts of it dropping from that NM. Not sure if it's random or not.

Edit: Abyssea - La Theine

Edit2: The post I pulled this from is the only account I can find of a group actually killing it.

Edit3: Posting a picture of this mob that reinforces the quote "No matter what level you are, there is a bunny that can kill you."

Edit4: Not everyone in group got the key item. It's my theory that it's based off of the glow you accumulate. There are other accounts of key items (different than the above) dropping randomly off regular mobs.

I love this posting Krizz, you did very well on getting some screenies, and you did give the audience alot about what is happening and what to look for. You should ask one of the Bosses at the AH to Sticky this... def good info and no Q Q material here.. ALthought I haven't been here yet, I'm sure someday I will. I got more things to work on, getting caps done, and working on my Antea and my soon to be soulsabre.

We went yesterday, did a 30min run in Tahrongi. Nothing terribly new or out of the ordinary to report, except we got one of these chests:

And while its far from concrete evidence, all I had time to do was snap my log window after I had opened it but inside was 2 Deathstones, a Sapphire, and a Scroll of Water V.

The chest opened by giving me a range, as you can see in the screenshot. I first input 22, it said its is greater, and the sum of the digits was 11. I then followed with the 38 and it opened. It gave clues similar to caskets, but the difference was it spit out 2 or 3 clues after my first attempt. Like I said, I was main heal and hard pressed to keep people alive so was limited on the amount I could record with detail.

Conflux #01 costs 50 Cruor (La Theine)
Conflux #02 costs 100 Cruor (La Theine)
Conflux #03 costs 150 Cruor ( La Theine)
Conflux #04 costs 200 Cruor (Konschtat)
Conflux #07 costs 350 Cruor (Tahrongi)
Conflux #08 costs 400 Cruor (La Theine)

Based off of this data, I think it's safe to assume all zones have the same cost per conflux, and they go up in increments of 50. This means 5/6 that are missing would be 250/300.
