I think deep down we all knew it was happening, and I'm going to say right now, level caps on next two updates with increasing difficulty.
*edit* Hence why I am going to do other things XD like unlock Abyssea and look at new items / dats.
Give it a few hours and it will calm down.

Agreed that this was only to be expected. It's FFXI after all. Everything is quested.

wonder what we have to do...think it will have something to do with the new add on? or doing some quest in the past?

yea thats my guess .. just zone into the new zone and BAM lvl cap broke.... sadly with how the last few new quests have been it could be just this easy. if not you prolly just gotta get a couple drops... the lvl break quests have never been hard so i dont see this being much different

I see. The catch here is "..some requirements to fulfill". Thats like vague as they come. Better be atleast something relatively easy.

I'm unsure if the quest will be in the new expansion as not everyone would have brought it straight away, or we'd have gimp poor people around to laugh at.
it cant be anythin to do with the new zones, you gotta buy the addon for those zones but dont have to buy addon to break cap
Make sure you kill All the sky gods.. solo.. whilst fighting without a sub job.. back tanking and without casting any magic..
once you have done this make your way back to the Nomad Moogle on a level 1 job via the new CoP uncapped areas without aggro;ing
