Leviathan.Dubont said: with nothing but the benchmark running, I scored a little under 3000. My specs ![]() Any tips? XD My tip is Ignore the benchmark. From the graphics card, I assume you use a laptop and if you said that you do before, I didn't see it.
Based on the assumption of it being a laptop... 1. get a desktop or use PS3. 2. do what the above post says and ignore the benchmark...could be misleading, but who knows. yea I use laptop...I’ve always used a laptop and it has worked fine ; ;
I can't say to upgrade anything because changing out anything in a laptop is both risky and hard as hell in most cases.
new advice: wait...I'm going to anyway. My upgrades totaling near $1,000 will basically be because it will beat any computer that I could buy for that price since I want a new computer anyway. edit: closer to $1,250...but who's counting. well I have a desktop, but it is horrible. I started FFXI on it and then got a laptop because it ran a lot better. 256MB of ram...120GB HD...I dont even know what kind of graphic card..I had to replace it so many times ><

My specs from the current setup that needs a major update. Well put it this way, "a friend of mine" got a pretty low score, I can't remember what it was exactly, but it was under 3k I think (I'll ask them again after work), and they said the alpha version runs fine for them, as long as he turned shadows off. The alpha version by rights, should be pretty badly optimised, meaning that the beta should run a lot better. So I reckon even a score of 1k+ should see you through to being able to play the game, and higher than that just means you can use better resolution etc.

PS3 version here i come! /expected less than that from this crappy pc i've updated my direct x, and when i click on the benchmark, windows tells me that the benchmark has stopped working =/
any clue as to how i can fix this >_< i've seen people saying their PCs have had really low scores, and my PC's only a year or two old. (granted i have basic on board graphics that i know i need to update, but still) I downloaded the benchmark the other day and it takes forever to load the cs. Then after the square enix thing flashes by I don't even see the movie, I just hear the sound. But my laptop is a pos so meh.

my PC's not old enough to be completely trashable. just need to buy a few pieces and put em in. like i know i'll need a new graphics card since i'm still using onboard graphics when i bought this (at the time i just needed something that could run Dynamis and the like without lagging like crazy) hm i only managed to score a 903 on low, even after reseting my computer. I am running a laptop which uses a 512MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M Workstation GPU, which the benchmark might not like.
For lols i ran the FFXI benchmark and scored about 8000 so I will just ignore this benchmark. Playing FFXIV itself will tell me just how good or bad my laptop actually is :). I ran the new benchmark software and I got only one issue that I haven't been able to figure out how to fix. Everything runs smooth video wise, but I have no sound what so ever.
I've messed with my sounds settings, drivers are up to date. It is on board. I've tried looking this issue up, but only few people have reported this and no one as replied with a fix. Would anyone know why this is happening? My sound works great for everything else but FFXIV benchmark. (granted i have basic on board graphics that i know i need to update, but still) I'm having this issue too - updated directx and the benchmark still doesn't work. Currently planning to use the Asus N71J series laptop with ATI HD 5730 Graphics 1 GB and Intel Core i7 - just bought it this year. Not tech savy so any suggestions helps! Let me know if you find any solution to this. Thanks! I downloaded and installed run the ff14 benchmark on my pc and always crash and said system encouter serious error and need to close anyone know why:(?
this my pc spec: window xp professiol(5.1,build) service pack 3 intel(R)core 2cpu 6400@2.13GHz 2 gb ram ATi radeon X1600 series 512mb direct x 9.0c Leviathan.Zhaoyun said: I downloaded and installed run the ff14 benchmark on my pc and always crash and said system encouter serious error and need to close anyone know why:(? this my pc spec: window xp professiol(5.1,build) service pack 3 intel(R)core 2cpu 6400@2.13GHz 2 gb ram ATi radeon X1600 series 512mb direct x 9.0c Leviathan.Zhaoyun said: I downloaded and installed run the ff14 benchmark on my pc and always crash and said system encouter serious error and need to close anyone know why:(? this my pc spec: window xp professiol(5.1,build) service pack 3 intel(R)core 2cpu 6400@2.13GHz 2 gb ram ATi radeon X1600 series 512mb direct x 9.0c Why hello Laptop Grfx card so no one hard this problem know how i can fix this.. my computer isnt that old for it to not work i think..
I just bought a new computer and it won't even run the benchmark. :/
It told me I was missing something from DirectX and now when I run it, it just tells me it stopped working. So be happy you can even get a score unlike me. QQ Has anyone been able to run the benchmark or the beta client with a Radeon x1650? No matter what I try, I just can't get the damn thing to run. I'd like to know if I have to upgrade my entire PC (I'm running a P4 3.0E HT) or just my video card.
It won't work for me....after I pick my race and stuff and click on start, the program crashes on me....
Anyone know how a ATI Radeon 5770 benches? (High + Low if possible)
i have a vision tex radeon 5670 grapic card is that a good card for ff14???
It'll run it fine.
