Mabrook, since you spent like over 250 mil on it, I would say more than 4k XD.
If he still had the gil on hand, 5k would be a more appropriate price just for owning 250k on hand or in sellables.
5k for an account with 250 mil? Unless i'm reading that wrong no one would buy it. You would be best selling the Gil and the account separately.

Most smart sellers would.

Liquidate the gil to a trusted buyer for 26 to 30 per mil then sell the account seperate. If done this way your total net profit if you do it through my people I know you would get 7500 for the gil

and depending on the jobs and rare/ex and mission completeness (almost no one buys an account that still needs sea or sky, so dont think big if you want to sell and you can't even get to sky or sea)
can be from 150 to 800 dollars stripped.

Accounts stripped of all gil and sellables with a high demand relic (aegis, amano, excalibur, mandau, apoc) make about 1100.

Accounts stripped of all gil and sellables with a lower demand relic (kikoku, relic club, relic hand to hand) get about 700.

So depends heavily on your char, its face, model, jobs, gear, relics if any, staged relics count, mythic are rare as ***so if you ahve a decent one you can make 2k easy. The only thing not subject to so many finer details is gil.

If you guys have extra gil and want to sell descretely to other players and never get caught, go to egamingsupply.com and post a WTS 15 or however many, the server name, and price per mil 27 is a decent price/mil and do payment through paypal or WU and make some side cash. This to me is tolerable because your not selling to some chiness RMT website that will probably get you banned because they send you tells like
"I pick up gil you have now?"

Oh dont worry i use EGS all the time i would never go to chinese sites because they cant be trusted. As i mentioned before i sold my acct for 3k(which had 5 mil on it) I muled the rest of my gil(i had around 990-995 million gil) mostly made from 2004/5, then sold it all slowly. The most i ever sold was 150 mil at a time.

My account would never be worth enough to warrant me selling it.

Unless I'm getting enough money to buy a top of the line gaming PC for FFXIV, my account will stay in my hands.

you just send a direct payment to thier email addy, classifying it as a gift, generally using a middleman, but most sellers prefer to use western union, since a buyer can yank a paypal payment after he changes the password

If its sent as a gift im 95% sure it cant be recalled.

i'm fairly sure you can, but you have to go about it differently. you file a dispute claiming unauthorized use of your account as opposed to directly disputing the payment

if the seller could get his money safely through paypal, i don't think 8 out of 10 accounts up for sale would demand western union, as it's a LOT more expensive and more of a hassle for all parties involved

Priceless!
I would never sell my character to some noob who didn't know how to play my jobs and make it look bad. Nothnx, I would delete it before I ever sold it for any type of mula.
Too much time, heart, and soul put into it to just give it up!

That's cool, I've just become sort of jaded towards the game and the people who play it ~ And I wouldn't mind getting something back out of it

I guess maybe I would feel the same way if I didn't care about the game 100% completely. But I still do so I can't picture some stranger playing my character. (T___T;)

to be fair, though it DOES happen occasionally, most people buying an account have been playing for quite some time, and probably know how to play most of the jobs on the character they're buying. if they don't, they're going to get found out quickly, especially if the account has exceptional gear

of course, they could be buying it as a claiming/PL mule, which is a sad fate for any account :(

@Jax, since quote aint working.

I can totally understand that, I'd hate to have someone playing my character, especially if they're bad at it. Just like I don't allow my elder brother to play xbox live on my profile.. Because he sucks ***.

However, if I were to 100% quit the game, it would be tempting. I'd probably strip the account of any sellable items to give to friends first though. Although, most of my gear is R/EX so it wouldn't be that much <_<

@ superdan, since I can't quote you, lol yeah, that makes me so mad when my family members use my account and play a job of mine they dont have and make me look horrible. you get a bad rep that way!

iono, if you were to sell, i think the less sellable gear you have the value goes down or something? but yes, giving some things to friends would be a nice way to look at it.

I gave away 15m or so in gil and a few of my HQ/hard to find items my friends wanted when I quit, and gave my char to my best friend. I had a lot of really nice gear, he's using some of it on me still, some is on his char and he's spread a lot of it to people in our ls. I played for 6 years, and I wouldn't have sold my char even if it was profitable. I'm not coming back but I wouldn't want anyone else being me, ya know? I also gave my other account with a 100 woodworker and a 99 leathercrafter to another friend. That I could've sold, I guess.

And just for the record, I played all those jobs with awesomeness lol, so the question would remain, why would anyone buy any type of account if they don't know how to play the jobs 8X

most of them don't, with a couple exceptions, pocket bards, rdm/whm's to run as haste/curebots while meriting, and thfs to use as th4 ***

(Shocker, it works!)

Yeah the less gil on my account, the less $ I'll get, true. But I've got pretty good friends in game. I'd much prefer my gil to be in the hands of friends who could use it, than some random guy with a large disposable income, even if it does mean losing out on $50 or whatever. I wouldn't be that bothered about getting a large amount of $, but getting something is useful. I'd really hope if someone bought it, they'd change server/name though.....

its only unfriendly if the *** who buys your account is a scammer and tries to run a chargeback. Can't prove intangible items. So what you do is you get so much info on the guy its not even funny, that or require only Western Union. WU is the safest, if you know the guy, accept Paypal

I doubt most of these losers were around playing in 2004. Todays group is all a bunch of whiny 360 elitist wanna-be's who ruined this game with their crying and bitching.
