Very cool man. My roomie has some nice dragon tattoos as well, wish i had some pics.

Im working on the design for my center back and right arm now.. Should have them completed in the next couple months.

Decided to go without the mandala because it made it look too busy. Having it done somewhere else at a later date.

Each head on the totem has a different meaning for me, as i am part native american. The hunters moon, rave, bear and deer, are all equivalents to the Native american zodiac. Hunters moon and raven with raven's face protruding from it's chest are symbolic of myself. The Bear is for my daughter, and the deer is for my son. The tattoo was done by an old friend of mine who moved back to the area, and i wanted to have him do my first ink. didn't hurt @ all, and didnt have any scabbing, just some moderate peeling a few days later. i'm very happy with it, and am now addicted. as i have 3 more already lined up for the future. including a back piece, another calf, and wherever i decide to put the mandala haha

Sweet thanks for the info, gonna check the comic out. And like I said, the color and detail in that tattoo is amazing, best tat I've seen in a long time.

I originally had this done,

but apparently I have weak skin or something (or the guy just sucked a$$) because it scarred up and still looks all puffy, not uniformly lined like it's supposed to be.

So, I'm in process of getting it adjusted to look more like this,

Been sketching some and thinking of a good starter tattoo to get, gonna be on my ankle or somewhere easily concealed.

Was thinking of doing the Triforce with some artsy ***around it but i'm not 100% set on that idea just yet.

Do you play any instruments, Liela? I was thinking of getting something similar to that, too. Also, XIII is one of my favorite games, was thinking about getting a l'Cie mark, too.

I play flute, piccolo (but I don't often admit to that one xD), saxophone (until I slit my tongue open on a reed, anyhow), piano, and sang in choir for several years. I also danced for my university's dance department for a few years. My husband plays trombone, piano, and a little recorder-looking thing called a pocket sax. Music has been a very big part of our lives for a very long time. <3

I am thinking of adding some of the two Cor cards, One that says X and the other I. I have another on my back, but can't seem to find pic's of it right now.

It's not lame at all! Very cool actually. I thought it was Elvish at first because I've been eyeballing this for an upper-armband tattoo:



Just the Elvish part, of course. I love it, but I'm not sure that I'll get it. It looks cool but just doesn't hold the same level of meaning as my other two tattoos.

I also want a Claddagh tattoo that says "Erin gra ma Chroi" underneath it. That means "Ireland of my Heart." Three of my grandparents are Irish, and the other one is half Scottish and half French Canadian. My 'most' Irish grandmother, or the one who was proudest of our heritage, passed away a couple years ago. It nearly made her cry when one of my cousins named her first daughter a Gaelic name. So something that my grandmother would have loved would be cool for me, but on the other hand, I've never even been to Ireland. Can I honestly say I love the place if I've never been there? Can I honestly even say that I'm 'Irish' if I've never been there? That's iffy to me.

I also love nature, especially plants. There's a vine tattoo that I've been looking at for maybe an upper-armband. And I want an anchor with apple blossoms in the rope. My grandfather was a sailor and my grandmother's favorite flower was apple blossoms, and they are both gone. I miss them. Having a tattoo that symbolizes them together is something that I'd like very much.

I love that! Only problem would be that either the writing would be so small that over time it would fade together into a blur, or it would have to be so big to prevent that...that's an awesome idea though!

Here are two of the three tattoos I have. I have one on each arm. I'll post the third in a bit. I want to get a better pic of it first, without flash. I'm sorry the pics are big.

THIS! I've been looking around for other "Ripped skin" tattoos, but this is by far the closest to what I had in my mind from all the others I've seen.

I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for almost a year now. I really like the idea of getting something exactly like this picture, but with Upbeat on the muscle part, and a couple pieces of skin over the letters. As far as placement I would like it to be on the inside of my upper arm.

Here is my third tattoo of my wife, whom i have 3 wonderful kids with.
