Thanks, still learning. I finally found where I can switch a few buttons around. Still wish I could use the dpad to move though ><

I don't know about joining a room, but I know that you can bring 2 other people with you online. When you create a brawl, in small letters, it'll say 2nd and 3rd player press start.
EDIT: I think that's how I have other people added in my friend list, but have never seen them post here. They came with Dark, and some other person.
