Are you playing through homebrew, or regular way? Cause last night when you played without mods, it lagged very little.
I never turned my wii off. It's still on regular. and the amount of lag was consistent throughout the night anyways yesterday. Homebrew/reg was same only diff was i didn't freeze reg

I think what it is, is the more people you play with the worse. I played him earlier with 4 people, and we had no lag at all.
So 1v1, it's pretty laggy, 3 or 4, it's unplayable if you're in the room.

I don't know how hosting works for basic brawling. I always thought it was nintendo that hosts it. Which might be why you do better there. Not sure.
