(Hopefully I don't get flamed for this lol) It's believed in Islam that a mother who cares for her child that is disabled goes directly to Heaven so it's actually considered a gift. (Ofc only God knows).

Be happy!

ah I see, mine has been checked several times too to see if everything is fine, I still get nagged so much to drink my prenatals and ppl keep scaring me off saying 'if you dont drink them your baby will be born premature or have this and that!' it's scary but prenatals make my stomach ache bad lol

just yesterday we had a sonogram to see him, he weights 2lbs by now too :) so excited and so far they say he's fine. I still worry though.
I'm 27weeks 2 days.

@ Darki take them. And extra folic acid. If your stomach hurts too bad like mine did take Flinstone vitamins they are the second best thing to a pre-natal :p

flintstone vitamins..really? XD those are so old school, but they tasted so good.

I take them, I've been switched from prenatals and what not, these are the best I've found.
as for folic acid, I try to replace it with alot of foods that are high on it, it's just that I'm still having really bad stomach aches and sometimes nausea/puking, it doesn't really help when trying to stay healthy, also have anemia and might have gestational-diabetes or however it's spelled, getting bloodtests this week.

The spinal cord and the brain stem is the only things inoperable in a human body.

@ Darki yeah Flinstones! Me and food didn't get along for the first trimester. But when I couldn't handle the pre-natals thats what I was flipped to with an extra supplement of folic acid.

:| Now I hate Flinstones....chalky tasting blah.

Not true. They can be operated on but the risks generally outweigh the gains. The brain stem controls all involuntary actions (breathing, normal bodily functions etc.) and the spinal cord is the path way for the electric signals from the brain to the various parts of your body. Any mistakes on either one of these regions can result in death.

I'm 27weeks, c'mon, I should be able to eat by now.
and on the first trimester I almost got hospitalized, I couldn't keep even liquids down... I completly stopped eating because I couldn't handle throwing up, and when I ate and forced food down I actually threw it up the next day. I also spent 16hours a day sleeping... not completly, but i kept waking up to drink water, i wasd really thirsthy. it was really bad, makes me wanna think twice in a future when I want more children... lol, but so worth it.

A friend of mine had had excess fluid on the brain, and by age 15 he had had 14 replacements.

Perfect surgeries only happen on House or ER, not irl unfortunately.

I'm not a doctor but I have seen cases where well placed tumors have been removed from both the brain stem and the spinal cord. Not all tumors can be removed however. It all comes down to the luck of the draw as far as where the tumor has grown.
