Hey I used to be one of those full AF drgs :D but i solo'd my *** from 60- 70 and was like "***.. time to change this"
I only started pting and getting proper gear at 70. Dont worry o.o its all different one. I had 4months experience with the game at that point ^^; lol.

I dont use RDM anymore, i gave up on it when i found blue mage.
Let's not talk about my post 40 levels still with a purple belt on mnk >.> (To be fair it was my first job, no way to make gil without a 75, and no way to farm the enemies needed)

I'm ashamed of how bad my DRK was when I was leveling up. Gimpy skills. Very little accuracy gear because I was cheap/HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE. That's why I don't have a go at people for having gimpy gear most of the time because I just think that it could be their first job and I was there once.

Thats all good and well... but when you hit 60-65 you should really be learning more about your job and whats expected of you. I always throw helpful advice for people that look like they need it, trying my hardest not to sound like an ***.
Well there are a lot more choices now. At least you can get a headlong belt if Swift isn't dropping/not on mission/no codex etc. There's a lot more low lvl gear that you can use than before and a lot of it is fairly cheap.

Egg is being hard on himself. Yes there were some mistakes like using STR rings and not using a W.turban for a while, but you spent time skilling up and used the generally right gear.
@Tuv It's all well and good, but after you have the basic gear you need, the rest is either farming abj's or gil for gear.

Tell me about it, it's why I DAT swap.
Trying to skill up scyte and GS was horrible. They really should have amde it a little easier to skill up high delay weapons. I remember when I finnaly got guillotine. I was so happy :D
I still want to .dat swap my titan for a giant geodude :)

So was I, I think we'd all had enough of Vorpal scythe :o
If they had given some half decent weapon skills for scythe and GS beofore guillotine and spinning slash it wouldn't have been so bad but early weapon skills for drk where just horrible. I really should have used GA till 60 looking back but meh it would have meant I would have had to spend even longer skilling up.

I dunno, the DoT from the Scythe was pretty good.
drg + drk are the last jobs i wanna level to 75. tbh they were also the only DD jobs (i dont count thf as dd :x) i rly enjoyed when i exp'd. SAM was kinda boring :<
