An LS member and myself read that sleep bolts were the best way to do it, but that would have taken forever to finish him, especially with all the CureIII's he pulls. After he wiped us with sleep bolts the 2nd time (me=THF/WAR him THF/RAN) used bloody bolts and SA. It worked like a charm. We each ended up using ~50 Bloody bolts a piece and we got the Genin Earring on the 1st drop. Needless to say we did it 2 more times, worked like a charm.

We went in last night and did this BC ~ 2*RNG/NIN and BLM/WHM. Both open with Barrage, BLM ES Sleeps it. Rngs stand on opposite sides, one with sleep bolts, another with holy bolts (if you have an Elvaan rng, give them the Holy Bolts). Alternate back and forth. You get a good rhythm going and the sleep bolt mostly interrupted his cureIII's. Finished in 4:36. Did about 10 orbs, got 1 NI scroll, 2 Wyvern Earrings, a Genin, Wizzard's and a few others. IMO one of the better ones this level, drop rates seem to be pretty good (*^.^*)

Tried and true method always worked for us: BLM x3 (/NIN for dual wands, WHM for healing, /RDM for fastcast). Run in and ES Sleep. Then leader says a time, 2 start casting at the time, and the third will ES Sleep 1.5 game minutes after. Aspir when you need MP. Repeat until dead.

I've had a horrible experiences with this BCNM. I wanted to get wyvern earring but didnt want to pay 400k for one, so i thought "hey it only costs 30 seals and I have a bunch". Sadly I ran through this 10 times with 100k worth of drops total.

Nice party would be 2 Ranger/Nin with one WHM/BLM. Put ranger on either side of room with mobb in middle. WHM on side. One use sleep bolts while other pounds it. Success will come fast.

Tried it the way Searet mentioned...he's right, worked very well. If you want to be safe, bring another THF, RNG, or WHM (for paralyna). Besides the duo, we tried it with THFx3 and set the record with 3 min 2 seconds. We did this about 12 times and had horrible luck. We only walked away with one Genin for our efforts. I hate this BCNM.

Did this just the other day set up was:
BLU/WAR (cocoon ftw)
BLM/WHM (main healing and DoT mostly)
RNG/NIN (Holy and sleep bolts)

Had a few hi-potions, either, and yag drink per run on BLU and worked out well for the most part. No deaths 3/3 but nothing major droped :(

A sure way to win is go 3 blu/nin and rotate head butts. When its not your turn to head butt use bludgeon. Depending on the races you have you may need a yag drink or two. Works amazing.

setup:3 Black Mages with aspir
go in ES sleep all aspir all firaga next blm ES sleep aspir another AoE except stonega/waterga(firaga seems to work best) next blm ES sleep, aspir another AoE. just keep doin that and itll go down fast and easy.
