If you really want to help crafters by listing these on the AH you still need to price them above what you can NPC them for. Otherwise, people who aren't crafters will buy off AH and NPC for themselves. You always, ALWAYS want to list above NPC price. 10 gil is usually sufficient.
Maybe the reason people AH these for less than npc is to provide for people who would actually like to buy them. Some people aren't all out for themselves
