Chocobo Blinking was nerfed!
Leviathan.Egonn said: » Thank god. I'm not going to lie. Inflation was getting ridiculous. For those so inclined, right now is the closest you will ever get to the days of the 1.98 Christmas special. It's not like we only had several years to cash in on blinkers or anything.
It will be interesting to see how much the price of dyna currency falls in the following couple weeks.
There goes my income. Time to buy/AH cells by the stack now.
Also, very funny that they are just now doing this lol *** idiots. And on this day, the size of our hearts shrunk 7x's its normal size. And everything else, doubled in price.
wow...I just did this yesterday for the first time...
I only converted enough for about 300k Gil. I used that gil to buy gugs and amazingly I GOT my saber shoot out of the second to last one that I bought. I haven't been home since I read this thread, but I hope like hell there were no bans for this. I'm a long time player (since ps2 launch), and I'd hate to go out like this. Hopefully it was a nerf only... I can't get home fast enough! I think dyna currency price will remain the same as they always have. However, the cells for crour->gil may just be the exchange for now until they nerf that one. Expecting people to price gouge for selling cells.

If anything it would potentially lower prices, what with supply increasing due to an influx of people turning to different ways of making money and less people buying those products due to less ways of what was essentially free money.
Dust off your
buy cheap gil while you can if you got the nerves for that. 6.35$ for 1 mill last time i checked.

Well, they've introduced some medium-potent gilsinks in the form of voidwatch weakeners, and meeble burrows items that can remove 6 mil from a full group in a stroke. I'm expecting moderate deflation. This is true, but with gil being "worth" more, couldn't it potentially raise the cost of everything also? With a million gil being "not as easy" to obtain now. Idk, was just an idea.. Oh well. Only thing that really saves the meeble thing now is that some of the non-ex items will cover the costs for a little while (unless you're one of those people with hundreds of millions already stored up...). That, however, limits you to buying items that you may not want. Tbh I don't know what way you'd be able to cover the 1m/boss cost of Meebles without going to great lengths just for that purpose, and I don't really feel that the gear is worth it.

Potentially, but with the way people seem to work, the second they realize their goods aren't selling they'll chop some off of their price until people start buying again. I've never sold a single blinker, and didn't even know what people were talking about when they said they were "selling blinkers" until recently, but I wish that Square Enix would just leave FFXI alone sometimes. I feel there are better ways to deal with RMT activities than reducing NPCable item prices.
What do they expect us to do with cruor now? I never done blinkers but I was seriously considering starting doing it.... It's a shame in my opinion, this was a stable source of income for many people in game. Now they're left with dynamis only, which is already packed.
Well damn there goes the RMT shouts for FC leech parties now.
They should have just eliminated cruor chaining and left the items as they were.
thank god.
I got sick of 80% of shouts in jueno being for RMT "cleave" parties Lakshmi.Aelius said: » I look at the option to change crour into gil a decade gift to the players for at least having ffxi lasting for 10 years. After 7-8 years of playing without a good source of gil, I believe having this kind of source for gil for 2-3 years is a godsend. Now, lets see who the real players are. :D the ones that can go make a million gil in 2 hours of dyna? Pretty much anyone? How about adding this to our FFXI haikus x.x

If gil is "worth more," doesn't it stand to reason that you would need less of it to buy a static item? Lakshmi.Harkonnen said: » Well damn there goes the RMT shouts for FC leech parties now. I wouldn't be too sure about that - 100k/hr for FC parties gives 10 million over 10 hours assuming 10 people join. That's 50 million a (5 day) week without blinkers. |
