A lot of servers are lucky to have 1000+ people on weekdays during those times. At least thats the case on Pandemonium and Remora. This is a good, and a bad thing. Honestly there are a lot of shells on both servers, but leveling can be really difficult. I was lfp on RDM for 4 hours today before getting an invite :/.

Quetzalcoatl or Leviathan have English speaking players, but it all depends on what hours you play at. But Most of the servers wont go past 1,100 players online on a week day.

Well, I'm in Central time as well and I am online most of the time during the night time hours. I've played on three servers and all of them have more JP or EU players on at night than English speaking players, so I'd just shoot for a decently populated server.

Hades seems to have plenty of English speakers and I don't have too much trouble getting pts/putting them together. We definitely suck at Besieged though ; ; we lose like every 3rd or 4th attack

If you are looking at a server strictly to exp on, Remora is by far populated enough to do it. I spent 3 years there, 3 75's, and quite a few other jobs in the 60's on 2 characters. I left Remora because I did not want to EG there, because outside of 3 shells, it sucks there. EXP wise Remora is a winner, you will have morons in party, or that try to make them (but thats everywhere). Most of the time during the evening hours, its mainly english speaking players, but JP parties are still better imo.

That used to be true, maybe it still is. But in the Mid 30's-40's you can't really find anyone to EXP with. I'm very happy with my EGLS, but it's not like we're accepting applications, so can't really help you there. :x

Do you have any friends or acquaintances that (still) play? Much more fun playing with them regardless of what server you choose.

If you don't have any playing the game, (for me) any server would be fine.

If you skim through this just looking for server I'll just name Kujata - because that's where I am.

GL and I hope you BG background /c goes well.

**P.S Is Ifrit really that bad? I jumped from Ifrit. Lol, not gonna bash Ifirt because there are a few people there I would like to say are friends, even good friends even

I wouldn't come back to Remora if someone offered me 100M and a Ninurta's Sash. I left Remora for Sylph specifically to endgame, and in the 3 months I have been on Sylph, I have had more fun, and done more than I would have ever thought. Now do not get me wrong, the shells on Remora are very good at what they do, but as you said, most are not recruiting, plus I only have one viable 75, being BLM. I know all about the EG situation on Remora, my brother was there for some time, I watched some of what goes on, and I would not put myself through that. My only time on Remora spent in any EG situation was with Honourables, in Sky. I was not impressed with it either, but I am quite sure now things are by far easier, and more enjoyable. I rather enjoy Sylph, less hassle with EXP parties, most are good, and the EG situation only has 2 shells for most stuff, except ground where there are like 5, makes it by far more interesting.

I had a mule I was messing around on on Asura recently and seems to have a nice atmosphere, got plenty of parties in valk dunes. Leviathan is looking a bit dead for exp atm, but thats probably because of all the new NMs/shantoto addon.

Either way hope you find a server you like ;)

All that ever matters is finding a server you like. I would suggest never basing a server on the dunes parties alone, sure it will give you somewhat of an idea how populated the server is, but its the dunes, why people even level there I will never know (with AFB being the primary way to avoid it). To each their own I suppose.
