Can't Re-roll Moonshade Earring

I'm missing something thats not detailed in the wiki anywhere on this. Anyone know what?

I threw away the earring
I clicked the Spot next to the conflux and reset my memory
I Entered WOE
I clicked the door
Cait sith told me to *** off.
I reclicked the conflux

Nothing.

What am i missing? dont tell me i have to go re-do the dawndrops....... Or is it something HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE where i cant reget the key item until a game day after i reset?

Did you rezone after checking the ??? in Grauberg? The steps are outlined in the wiki.

the ??? is near the conflux, not the one right next to it. you might be examining the wrong ??? in grauberg S.

I did it according to the wiki. i went to at least six different zones after i gave up and it still wouldnt activate. I had to fully shut down for it to register finally.

now im stuck on the "Examine the door to the lion springs tavern" Leg of the next quest, Which the door does literally nothing. Any ideas on that one?

Nowhere does it say to examine the Lion Spings Tavern.

edit: After you kill Lilith you check the door. Have you even gotten to that part?

What exactly are you rolling? Dice? Maybe that's why you're having the problem, this game doesn't use dice
