talking wave 3 boss? Because once our group hits wave 3, we Corsairs typically are relying on Savage Blade over Leaden (Leaden of course rips thru waves 1 and 2), and our sets are pretty on point Macc/MAB/WSD wise. Its just not as potent typically if you have a solid Savage set (mostly acc wise, you're not gonna be able to have the same Savage set as a BLU with an A sword skill level for example).

Here are my current leaden sets:

sets.WS['Leaden Salute'] = {ammo="Living Bullet",
head="Pixie Hairpin +1",
body="Lanun Frac +3",
hands={ name="Carmine Fin. Ga. +1", augments={'Rng.Atk.+20','"Mag.Atk.Bns."+12','"Store TP"+6',}},
legs={ name="Herculean Trousers", augments={'Pet: "Dbl.Atk."+2 Pet: Crit.hit rate +2','Blood Pact Dmg.+6','Weapon skill damage +5%','Accuracy+6 Attack+6','Mag. Acc.+20 "Mag.Atk.Bns."+20',}},
feet="Lanun Bottes +3",
neck="Baetyl Pendant",
waist="Hachirin-no-Obi",
left_ear="Friomisi Earring",
right_ear={ name="Moonshade Earring", augments={'MP+25','TP Bonus +25',}},
left_ring="Dingir Ring",
right_ring="Archon Ring",
back={ name="Camulus's Mantle", augments={'AGI+20','Rng.Acc.+20 Rng.Atk.+20','AGI+10','Weapon skill damage +10%',}}}

For higher macc needs I swap in Sanctity Necklace over Baetyl Pendant and Eschan Stone if I'm not getting storms or have weather (in Dyna, its Hachirin 100%). Also, my lua swaps the Moonshade Earring for Novio Earring if I use Leaden at a TP higher than 2749TP.

For wave 3 boss you don't need macc, their stats are low.

For volte NM use macc buffs. If you don't have macc buffs then use savage. Rostam x2 is great for macc, also bis for melee leaden on spreadsheet.

To be honest on wave 3 fodder I would only consider using leaden if ws set is extremely high end. A bis melee leaden set with R25 Rostam/rostam/R15 dp is so much more expensive than BiS savage set with sapara +1/blurred +1/tp bonus. 600m v.s 12m in 3 weapon slots BiS lol.

Without Rayke, Volte takes 50% darkness dmg reduction if I remember correctly reading somewhere. So the fat chance is that for majority of avg geared cor their savage will out perform leaden just because how easy in terms of gears and buffs to get decent savage number on volte.

I will say this for those looking to build a savage blade set for Wave 3 mobs/NMs- overdo it on the accuracy. Its rare that I'm not sporting a prime marine stewpot in Dynamis (thanks Nite), and even with 2 bards rotating to preserve 2 madrigals 100% of the time along with that, I'm still not pleased with my WS landing rate at times (see THF mobs). I went back, redid some augments aiming for more melee accuracy along with WSD, and have been "ok" with it so far.

Should be using oceanfin on wave 3 if you choose to use savage. Attack is extremely important.

Why pixie hairpin +1 over a Herc. head peice with like lets say a augment of 29 Magic atk bns, and skill chain +3%?

Pixie is Dark Affinity, not normal MAB. Affinity is basically MAB on steroids. It's going to take an unbelievably good augment on Herc Helm to beat Pixie for raw damage. If you need the macc, though, Herc is a good swap.

You can make the argument a Herc head would win if you need the magic accuracy, but potency wise there's no replacement for Pixie.
