Looking For Forum Moderator

no matter how many mods you have, trolls will always spread their butthurt to others. All the mods can do is perma-ban them, but that will slow them down, like Preparation H slows down hemorrhoids.

I don't think we have that problem here. Alyria is a nice person but most people know to take her seriously when she's acting as a moderator. If someone doesn't want to listen you warn them in a PM. If they still don't listen then you take appropriate action(whatever that may be for the situation).

I really don't see how someone's past posts will help you decided if they will be a good mod. Especially just the last 25. I mean some people go through 25 posts in under 25 minutes lol.

Tis true, but say looking at my history you'll just see garbage. Would you see me as being a mod with all the nonsense I've posted?

Judging solely from post history? No. But I would never use post history alone when deciding who to make a mod. I'd make sure they understand the work load, will follow the guidelines, and will work well with the other mod(s).

Few posters here nailed it: When I said "get along," I didn't mean being bestest friends forever while sitting around braiding each other's hair. It means being able to work well together without constantly butting heads. We're trying to supplement our existing moderator force -- not effectively decrease it by introducing massive differences in opinion and style that will ultimately annihilate each other like some kind of CERN experiment.

The discussion is interesting as well, but like another poster also said, it isn't a popularity contest. We won't be relying on cross-talk from other users as a factor in who we pick.

I say that Dasva would be the best choice not because he likes/dislikes me, but because he would be the most impartial person here, judging by his posts.

Krizz, you wouldn't be a good mod because you have your opinions and like to present them. And get after anyone who goes against it (which is what a mod should not do).

Dasva shows logic, and rebutts anyone with logic. Including me a couple of times.

Out of everyone here, who ever posted on this forum on a constant basis, Dasva shows the best levelheadedness (if thats the proper word for it) followed by Ludoggy (although, his attitude is more like "I don't give a ***")

Out of everyone who shouldn't be a mod, I'm on the top of the list. I can't be trusted with any power at all. Not on a social standpoint at least. I'm not a player in the social field, but in the business field, which I think I would be a great leader for, based by experience and ethics. But thats enough about me.

Don't offer me the job, I will refuse it faster than Blazza would with logic.
