FFXIAH allow us to see mission ppls are on (it's possible to find ppls that are on same mission then us, and make a team from that)
I was wondering if we could add some "I'm looking for a team to do ..." feature. Often, creating/gathering the team take more time then the actual fight.
It could be something like the LS feature dropdown list (but instead of LS names, it would be re-makable missions/quests/activities/job we want to level-up/etc.)
It would allow other ppls to do search by activity, and maybe even filter by FFXIAH online status (I don't know about you, but I usualy keep this open while I play)

Theses days I look for ppls willing to repeat ACP7, doen't seem popular.
A feature like that would allow to find interested ppls quite fast.
I'm sure ppls would enjoy that more then shouting/hearing ppls shouting repeatedly.

(Note: If ya on Carbuncle and want to do ACP7, ya can PM me. Hey! might as well shoot 2 birds with one stone while suggesting that feature ^^)

I'd say "use the forums" for it, but realistically, your post, while well-intentioned, would get buried under a mountain of crud.

It sounds like a good idea to me, something almost like a separate bulletin board for people looking for other people for things. Again, could use the server boards for this, but they would get buried under the stack too fast.

Siderail...

Something I think would be nice is if there was a "Jobs" section of the forums with a subboard for each job. That way when someone has a question about SAM, they can post it on the SAM board.

OR, they could actually check the SAM board and see that it's already been posted and not ask the same question again.

We used to have a board like this on my old social LS website, and people used it to post information, guides, Maat fight strategies, etc. for specific jobs on there, as well as asking questions of the people who had the jobs leveled already.

I like the idea. It may not be so great for XP parties (unless maybe looking to start a static), but it would be a big help for quests.

{Garrison} {Do you need it?}

Bastok Eco-Warrior has been in my quest log since the ps2 release and been on the missions I'm on forever. :3

Wow. I got to eco-warrior a few times. Of course, this was back near PS2 release as well. I've only heard it mentioned once in a while.

Eco-warrior is like the original level sync, but for a whole alliance. There's not even really anything like this at 75, but it's basically a big dungeon crawl with a boss at the end, and then I THINK you have to get back out too. Actually quite a lot of death fun.

I did Eco-warrioir myself, the one in maze of sharkami, was quite easy, you need only 4-6 people for that, if ou have 3 smn 2h (shiva)
the 4th guy is any lvl 75 clearing the path for the smn.

i was in an alliance though, for the fun of it with my social ls d^^

Uhh... you did this by yourself, with 3 SMN, in an alliance, with an additional Lv 75...

Post makes no sense!

Makes perfect sense to me, at no point did he say he did it alone. 75 was not allied I assume.

Perfect example that fits into the OP's suggestion: Apoc Nigh. It is about damn near impossible to get a team together to do that fight.

He said he did it himself, by didn't say he did it BY himself. Maybe something was lost in translation, however there's really no reason to try and take the post word-for-word when he then goes on to describe the group with which he did it.

The post makes perfect sense!

In my experience, having done it for two characters, the only part of post CoP/RoZ that is hard to get people for is Storms of Fate (Bahamut v1) because it involves a full or nearly full alliance, a trek across 50-cap Riverne Site #B01, leading the directionally challenged, and probably farming scales and fighting off agro from Hippogryphs.

Of course, I have gone to help people just to leech off their scale and get my weekly ration of Rivernewort from the ??? on the way to Bahamut.

Apoc. Nigh is fast to get to and can be done with a single party, as can ZM16. Promy Climbs can be done in a small group in a few hours if you have the right setup (WHM/BLM, BLM/WHM, DD/DNC, DD/DNC, SAM or MNK works well for those).

2 SAM/DNC make easy/fast work of the MRs; WHM and BLM give you Tractor, Raise, Escape, and Teleports, plus support mages.

Anyway, your point is not lost on me, and being able to have either a separate, mission/quest board or something like the Bazaar feature where you could search server-specific would be great.

Let's say you're working on your Opo-opo Crown and all you need is the Skull. Chances are that there are a few other people on your server who also want/need it, and probably more than likely could form a single group and get everyone theirs. It would be nice if you could post that somehow and not have it buried among all the other forum shite.

This would be a great feature. Just a button on your profile beside each mission allowing you to flag it so when ppl search that mission they can see your looking to do it and can get in touch with you. Like a /seacom that actually works.
I always try to put up my /seacom for missions, but when i lfp i need to take it out to say level sync w/e.
I have managed to get a few missions done thanks to the search feature already in place here, but being able to search and see who is wanting to get it done asap would really help.
