Synthesis Recipies, Or NPC Data In XML Format

I am working on a crafting calculator and I've been trying to find a way of getting recipe and item information any other way than manual entry. I noticed the /dev section here with item information in it, and I was wondering if there is anything of the sort for recipe information in xml or even better yet, NPC information such as shop contents in XML format. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
