Ilvl Amano

So i was just wondering if any SAMs Ilvled their amanos and how it stacks up against the Delve GKT?

pretty sure the delve GK is still the best, mythic may come close, but i highly doubt the REM's are really worth using over it still. the fact that especially in ionis areas Tsumaru gets save tp+35 granted ionis on, gonna be really hard to top the weapon skill frequency.

No. Koga destroys tsurumaru, I'd imagine tsuru+yoichi is incredible with capped ranged attack too. GK wise, Koga>masa>no clue on amano vs tsuru.

Amano is more for DMG per hit now instead of WS rate and now with Fudo you can double light a lot easier with better DMG instead of using Kasha which gimps your DMG quite a bit.

Kaiten and Fudo suck in Delve also but outside of Delve Amano will out parse Tsuru for the most part and inside delve Meditate and DA/TA/QA + buffs your goin to gain too much TP too fast for Save TP+25/35 to mean anything.

Maybe if you roll with a 2 song brd, sure. Also no.

Fudo and Kaiten are boss as hell in Delve, if you have proper buffs. Kaiten when below 153tp, Fudo when above (153 assuming you're using Moonshade). Shoha if you're buffs/debuffs are bad. Namas if you iLVL a Yoichi too and get a crapton of buffs.


As for Amano vs Tsuru, it comes down to if you have Ionis, your hit builds, pulling hate and swapping to pdt, and human error.

Overall Amano is the better built weapon, but Ionis favors Tsuru. For the new BCNM and Mission Very Difficult fights, Amano will be best.

On paper you are no doubt correct. However, in real-world situations you are going to see a ton of TP overflow with Koga and max buffs (which is the only time I use samurai). Even Tsurumaru has TP overflow problems with the Save TP + Ionis buff.

Not to down on Koga because it's an amazing weapon and I would love to have it.

TP overflow is still making your WS stronger, and you're still getting the +40%pseudoDA/20%pseudoTA on ws. If you auto WS, you'll never overflow TP besides multihit rounds also.

namas removing koga's AM makes koga+yoichi seem pretty impractical to me

whether highest dps is koga or tsuru/yoichi though, not sure

edit: suck at critical reading, disregard, but there's no way in hell tsuru beats koga with GK ws

Obviously, that depends entirely on buffs and target, but you're correct, there is no advantage to using Koga with Yoichi. Aside from towngear, I guess.
