Anyone can give pointers on which mob/or strategies that works to CW in aby konschtat ? I want dark rings ( for pld ) and hopefully a refresh hairpin, but I can't find suitable mobs. I recently got lion atma but was pretty dismayed at the mob choice in there.

raflesia and leeches are contested, and still somewhat hard to round up. ypotrils are scattered. melee tonberries have few pops. lizards dont link/aggro. the caster mobs are plenty but a bad choice.

Unless I missed something, not many are suitable for cleaving in konschtat.

Building light is not really an issue, it's finding a suitable prey that is. Maybe it's just better to plow through lizards one at a time ? I suppose I could Dia a few, but it's a pain to stop every few paces to dia. Can only do that with a few liz at a time, otherwise they eat through your defenses.

I usually just do Tonberries one at a time. They die pretty quick and they're closer together than Lizards.

They are more dangerous though. Throat stab and everyones grudge makes them dangerous, but you're right, a bit more squishier.

I always did tonberries aswell.
All other mobs is such a pain in the butt to gather up.
These link and aggro very well, but if you're solo (no additional healer) I think I'd avoid the mages for the most part.

You should be able to kill them before they TP, though, especially with a lot of the newer gear.

You're right on this part, I just felt there was not enough pops, BUT they were the easiest to round up and kill, having only a few is also less dangerous.

CA -> Efflux -> whirl of rage -> dream flower -> burst affinity -> whisker -> profit.

Not hard at all at least. And they cap very easy on lights (azure and amber)

I use to do, leachs, wivre, puddings, tonberrys or fungars. Theres are the ideal camps for the zone but since mobs are not clustered as we would like the pulls are a lil longer with a few depops.

Oh I had forgotten about funguars. I know they don't aggro, but they must link. Not clustered but hardly contested.

So bottom line is ... cleave small groups that can aggro/link easy or plough through em rapidly one at a time ?

Best solution to the less clustered mobs is bring a friend, have him pull half wile you pull the other half. Or solo pull half sleepga then pull the rest. This works well for fungars as they path like idots and depop easy but there i a large amount of them. Idealy its best to pull half CW them then start your next pull on the remaining mobs.

This. Can also double up and pull rafs at the same time if they are free.

i always did bugards, its a longish pull though because they are quite spread out and you need to keep your eye out for turul since he hovers over that area too

I also did bugards for my pin/rings grab a pair of frisky sabots the flee procs quiet a bit when pulling the entire camp and as Langy said just watch out for turul. No fear of them depopping either which is also a plus. Also if you have a friend what you do is have them blu or blm cap your pearl then drop pt the friend caps his azure while you work on the "sweet zone" amber once your friend is high enough azure for TEs reinvite. To prevent building azure on yourself call for help on your CW targeted mob i had a macro setup /help /wait 1 /ma "Charged Whisker". By calling for help you prevent yourself from getting lights. For gold chests obviously you kill when low on time have your friend kill with the same method cfh etc. Hope this post helps and good luck to you.

Also, if you wanted to not do it Aoe style and kill one at a time with a melee job, the saplings do not give red light, so you are free to weaponskill them in the face without screwing up your lights.

1. Tonberries - Easy to aggro them, they cast but they catch up to you quick. (plus many Limule, Clionid, Pavan around the same area to assist you in your light building). The Tonberries themselves give 16 amber, which can help build your light quickly
2. Slugs - sound aggro, they link nicely, but they are spread out a lot. (one Limule roaming the area)
3. Leeches - a favorite, they link beautifully, but watch their path. Also contested because of leech trial. (one Clionid and sometimes Pavan)
4. Fungar - This used to be my original CW camp. They link nicely, they are spread out a lot, and you'll maybe run into Turul. (occasional 2 Limules, VNM1 area)

Tonberry's only way to go. Super easy to one shot with charged. Round up all the non magic casting and go to town.

Edit: all the mobs in the open areas are subject to aggro from Turul, and unless you have RR on you will have to HP and lose all the lights you have built.

Yeah I think I'll stick to tonberries. I built lights fast yesterday despite having MATK atmas on ( I thought of it afterwards and decided I was too lazy to switch to dps atma for light building lol ). I had to be careful with them while building lights, but CW burning they were no threat at all. I can always try to get a few casters, once their initial cast has gone by they follow rather well.

Doing pearl is always tedious even with VNMs around, azure and amber is a real joke on the berries, specially with pavan and ephemerals around the corner.

I tried it more seriously last night, holy crap I made a nice buck and I scored 2 decent dark rings. I had -2pdt and -3pdt rings, I score 1 (-4/-4 mdt pdt) and the other is -4/-5, and about 8 others to sell, not counting the rest of the selling items.

I went in as blu with RR/apoc/minikin. Gathered about 100 pearl from VNMs, then moved on to tonberries and pavan, capped amber and built azure to about 128. I have to say, I was worried about throat stab and everyones grudge, but with delta thrust, it's a non issue.

Then I switched to ultimate/lion/baying moon and went to town. there are 11 pops of tonberries, with proper buff and frisky sabots you can gather them all (by the time you open all the chests, they usually repop.

One mistake I made, I didnt CFH on my targeted monster, eventually I capped out azure and was seeing WAY too much blue chests for my liking, but it didn't matter because it was time for me to log off ( and I had run outta key and cruor) by that time

Tonberries ftw, if I could just get a refresh pin, It would be x-mas all over again.

Can you still get a chest from the mob your CFHed on ?
