You could argue it does require building magian macc staves but meh. I know I didn't aside from the stun-staff.
I've actually found myself opting not to have Magic Accuracy ToM Staves by sheer virtue of extra space; Enfeebles on the more up-to-date content can be landed consistently with or without the M.Acc Staves, so right now they're still fairly voluntary. On a side note, suddenly having people treat you nicely for having an up-to-snuff RDM for Delve is kind of nice. Everything's coming up Milhouse!

Sucks when your other up-to-date jobs are useless, though. When RDM got mega-nerfed, people said stuff like "at least my WAR is still useful".

As for the Macc staves, I have 2 of them, and I haven't needed them for any enfeebles I have cast. If it can be landed, really any mage with B or greater enfeebling skill. I did notice sleeps getting resisted with chat. staff, and stuns getting resisted due to RDM's low dark skill (even with Thunder Macc staff). A dark Macc staff would probably be a good idea.

Edit: poorly worded

1. Sleep is enfeebling skill
2. Stun is thunder, not dark

Eh yeah Sleep is Enfeebling, but he did mention Dark Skill; I'm sure he knows Stun is Thunder-Based.

Yes I know that stun is thunder elemental, and sleep is enfeebling skill. If you bother to make any staff, Thunder Macc is the first, but RDM's dark skill is low enough that even that isn't enough a lot of times. As for sleep, yes its Enfeebling skill, but it is Dark elemental, therefore Dark Macc staff. Sorry, I should have clarified more, I assumed that the 2 I had would be pretty self explanitory.

Unfortunately it's this kind of attitude that stifles a lot of creativity and exploration in Jobs that many people simply toss to the wolves. It's better to have faith in the Player and not the Job, because there are some truly remarkable things that can come out of a bit of innovation (when it's given a chance). I'm not discounting BLU or SCH in any way, but to say they stole RDM's thunder is a far cry from the truth.

The culprit aside, its thunder has been taken; while handy for a few situations, it's still a novelty at best

Yes, when it comes down to brass tacks, there is very little that a back-line RDM can do that another Job cannot (SCH, for example); this has been touched upon many times before. My whole point isn't about, "pen-on-paper performance," so to speak, but that people really need to ease away from the mentality that, "the Job makes the Player." Red Mage needs work, this is undeniable, but it's still more than able to hold its own when placed in proper hands.

Its been said many times, but BLU is far more melee than mage, whereas RDM is still far more mage than melee. That's both in function and with gear.
