What's an OCD greatsword?

Surely there can't be an obsessive compulsive greatsword that I overlooked!

But seriously, if you meant the Occasionally attacks twice greatsword it does great in Voidwatch. Easily a good placeholder til you get around to building a Ragnarok anyway.

The fight I took this screenshot my Resolutions averaged just under 4k with the OaT Greatsword.

Ragna 95 will beat apoc 99 on DMG

but u shouldnt compare both on DMG only

apoc 99 cata Drain HP which make u survive more in events like Legion or w/e

Rag95 > Apoc99

I still use my Apoc99 during low man events. (Meebles,Salvage, moneyVW,dynamis etc) But anytime I have a healer or am doing a larger event/harder mob I use Ragnarok.

Sorry OCD GS means Occasionally attack twice greatsword. It is typo.

I know Rag95 > Apoc99, but i would like to know how big the different is in the same type of mob on WS dmg. like if Apoc99 Entropy can do 4k on VW mob what Rag95 Resolution can do on it? also same at the OAT GS.
Thank you!

If you're looking on the difference only for ws dmg, Rag drk can do what entropy does x1.5 - 2. However, it seems optimal set up for ragnarok leads to a 7 hit in tp phase, you can 5 hit apoc, and in VW you have access to regain atma (coercion), and discipline + monarch drink. So your ws frequency will be higher on apoc. At the end, some ppl found a difference of 12%, but i guess their reference is the zerg fights so not more than 1 or 2 mins fights.

One is pure damage other is utility. Seems you are trying to find a excuse to make or use apocalypse. Hands down ragnarok for Vw. I have a ukon so for me making a ragnarok didn't make much sense, even though it probably does more damage. I made a apocalypse for that reason. It does decent damage and I have seen ok spikes but it's not in same ballpark. Apocalypse is a awesome toy and I use it more UNLESS I go to Vw and I want people to go ooooohh and awww than I use Ukon or OAT gs which is like people said awesome.

It sounds as if you're comparing ukonvasara to gambateinn.
You're making a mistake. Apoc is not a toy but a weapon.

But no doubt for the 1-2 mins fights we have now Ragnarok is superior to all and by far.

Rag has uses on DRK WAR PLD, Apoc is DRK only. Granted you don't see PLD at VW a whole lot lately, but having Rag for me opens up the ability to go WAR to cover procs (and be effective at DD) when I don't have Ukon.

I don't see why you're comparing a 99 weapon choice to a 95 weapon choice, when ideally you should be comparing the benefits of a 99 apoc to a 99 ragnarok to make a proper decision.

The resulting choice would 99 Apoc/95 Ragnarok vs 99 Ragnarok/95 Apoc.

Also, 99 Ragnarok > 99 Apocalypse in terms of damage and utilization.

Ragnarok 95-99 is a zerg weapon. But to make it clear how is it compared to apoc 99 on a 40 mins fight? Let's say we magically have all buffs on at all time.

It's a true question I don't know the answer if you ever wonder why I ask this.

Sacredshot had mighty strikes up this day, he even outparsed a 99 rag drk.
I wonder he would outparse an apoc 99 drk on PW with a lvl 75 weapon though.
Please, let's stay serious.

It still wins by a large margin (15~20%+ depending on conditions, with full buffs increasing Ragnarok's lead). It's not a "zerg weapon", it's a weapon that does great damage. Even if Ragnarok forces you into a partial defensive set, it matches or beats Apoc as long as hitrate is capped.

Useful for different things really though i have done quite a few good Entropys and Cata that can compare to resolutions. I made an Apoc just because i always wanted one since 75 cap but never had the means to get as far through the currency as i have now.

Rag 99 + Apoc 99, in that order.

Yes, I read where you said 95. No, I didn't make a typo above. The functional answer is 99 Rag if you have to choose one. The subjective answer, which I suspect is what you're really going for, is do whatever you want.

Would honestly suggest not making a Ragnarok before the details of the Embrava nerf bat are known.

Ragnarok stands to lose the most out of any weapon to any significant potency nerfs to Embrava.

Apocalypse's utility isn't going anywhere and the 99 upgrade improves that utility slightly.

How so? i'm guessing the regain for xhit? I don't see why Ragnarok would be diminished by a nerf to embrava more than any other

It's still going to be well ahead even if they ditch the regain. I would assume that the concern regards the regen, along with any changes to PD. While potentially a valid point... If it's enough to completely push out Rag (hitrate uncapped and/or you die without Apoc), it would also severely affect other jobs/weapons. It's possible, but hopefully that won't be the case.

Besides, you can't do flips with Apoc and it's ugly.
